Hey, good luck tomorrow, @Mac#23. I have every confidence in you and send you wind for your sails. I spent too long setting up a still life photo for a new study, future painting. But, it is just a sort of joke-y thing punning on Life Is Just A Bowl Of Cherries (please give a listen) with Bowls Of Cherry

I have crushes on everybody, just like in real life. bakon has tried to lay a sobriquet on me but nothing has stuck. just like in real life. I have been very impressed with Mee and MLMR on their transformations from smokers to free women. Quantum leaps they have negotiated with a lot of grace. I am impressed with everyone who walks this walk. Babs always ripped her hosiery in bacon's back seat and left unmentionables behind. Well, not to single her out. All the eggs are guilty of that. Lots of babies have been born from smoke free parents. Leanna, Sarah, Action, Aruba, soon Boo. There are more, I am forgetting. We are a fertile bunch. Do you remember the Man Cave that the chicks took over ? I think we burned it down by accident. Something about a cleaning lady with fire. Where is that thread, so full of mirth ? Funny, the Sticks of the Day started out as hard bodies and quickly degenerated into phallic symbols of humor. We've got some really funny Chicks on QTrain. Chicks of the Day died, y'all get tired of air-brushed bodies and fake bosoms? tee hee hee. Sometimes I will find a thread where a now successful quitter expressed doubt or concern. These are so poignant. We come so far on this journey and leave so much doubt and fear behind.

Does Brain Ever Fully Recover From Nicotine?
Sazerac replied to Angeleek's topic in Quit Smoking Discussions
here are some resources addressing these things, John even though each quit is different, we share so many similarities with each other . Everyone Is Different and this one addresses your comment of never being in the normal state of a non-smoker. What Should I Call Myself -

Macky Mac. You don't smoke. You understand that smoking doesn't alleviate stress, it creates stress. Try not to future trip about what happens when it gets busy at work. You will face the triggers as you've faced previous triggers, successfully. Lean in on your new confidence, your trust in yourself. You will not fail. We are here to cheer you on...can you hear the crowd roar ?!

Rewards can take many forms. Listening to a favorite piece of music, recalling a sweet memory...looking at something of beauty. Small things that bring you Joy. I rewarded myself with big beautiful breaths....oxygen was my new drug. Glad you feel better. Stay focused. Stay close also, there will be more folks around giving you support. I celebrate you beating every damn crave, every trigger... and will be delighted when the poison hits the trash.

You are welcome ! All the reasons for keeping it are voices of the addict that you must identify and refute. You don't smoke anymore. Congratulations on your 8 day quit ! Protect it and realize your precious freedom.
