  1. Where?? Haha. I don't notice any unusual activity. Just my normal silliness.
  2. and if that's too difficult...especially as the time increases...you can modify on your knees.
  3. and here is a plank--hold this position for as many seconds as it says
  4. a crunch is like a sit-up--only you don't sit all the way up
  5. The only reason I usually suggest starting over is accountability to yourself. How many smokers "quit" and then smoke one here....then 2 weeks later take a puff from a friends...a week later another. Yet, they still say they quit. We all know they are only paving the road back to hell. For me...the only thing the ticker symbolizes the last time I stuck a smoke in my mouth and puffed. That's it. MQ took the scenic route too and boy was he pissed at himself at the time but now that he has time under his belt, that relapse is not even significant. (Except the lesson he learned). It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it and I truly believe that you did. And the good news is...as far as your body is concerned--the healing began 10 months ago because you got right back to quitting--you are continuing to heal and that time counts towards not smoking. The other good thing is: anyone who read your struggle and may have been on the fence about smoking --well you just may have prevented their relapse by finding out it sucks! They are missing nothing. Don't do it. And you got back on the quit. That's so rare and precious. Courageous. So proud of you :)
  6. Attention participants! Daily check-in is mandatory. No excuses
  7. first thing I thought about was an orgasm....was it just me? or am I just horny...haha
  8. I think this is exactly the same as the last one...but it seems to be the best one I can find. I know towards the end it does get rough and that's when I started breaking it up in halves. Half in the morning and half at night. Good luck everyone!! Try to stick with it...even if you have to modify. Nothing wrong with modifications! At least you are doing something. :) The challenge should be completed the day after Thanksgiving
  9. just kidding....I'm searching for the perfect one...not too hard..not too soft
  10. I knew you would love Bakon again :)
  11. Who'd ready?
  12. Evelyn.....I promise...PROMISE you..that bakon was not putting you down and in a few days...you will agree. He wants to make sure...and for you to make sure...to make this your sticky quit forever and ever and ever. And when you get to 11 months....he is going to be the one who posts your celebration because it will be the first time you hit 11 months......... The last thing anyone wants to see is for you to be a repeat relapser....but I have faith you won't. lots of love! Babs xo
  13. Well last time we did the abs challenge and both Ava and I ripped the skin right off our sacrum. I plank at the gym every day for 2 minutes. I hate it. Been doing it for 1 1/2 years and I still hate it. I'll think and get back to you all how it's going down. We start tomorrow.
  14. Awww. Evelyn! We care! We care s lot! I pop in on my phone and didn't see the calendar. I I am having a hard time keeping up with my own calendar. But believe me. Always in spirit and always rooting for you and we are always here. Somebody is. That's the magic. Congrats to you! Awesome awesome job getting back on the quit train like a boss! Woo hoo!

  17. Love the second paragraph.....it's so much more powerful than the first....by 1000....soo........where's the confusion, exactly? Read both paragraphs again and tell me the second one doesn't just want you to lace up your sneakers and run 2 miles? lol...it does for me...it's inspiring and uplifting and hopeful. don't let yourself be seduced by that sleazy scumbag, TEW....you are wiser than that. Just by refraining from smoking is not enough...don't let those thoughts entertain your brain for a second. Redirect them. Immediately. Routinely. Eventually it will be automatic. But the opposite is also true. Saying all that you said in the first paragraph only strengthens the junkie thinking. It's not a problem that the thoughts come in your head...it's what you do with the thoughts once you have them. All that other stuff you just have to deal with...one issue at a time....just like you've been doing...beautifully. You are a fabulous non smoker now....it won't be any different once you hit a year....or 10 days into your 2nd year....just enjoy the new you, girlfriend. Babs xo
  18. Ok. Looks like a 30 day Babs abs Is in order. Start November 1st??
  19. I was just thinking about another challenge the other day! It's time! I didn't gain weight...that I know of....(I stopped weighing myself) but...I have noticed a bit of cheating the last few weeks an popping candies in my mouth and eating an extra "treat meal". Time to get serious. What kind of challenge do we want? let's discuss you are right evelyn....crash diets don't work. Staying consistent is the key........but sometimes the same old routine gets boring and we need to change it up....
  20. You are a rockstar! Woo hoo!
  21. Woot woot!! Well done! You've got this!
  22. Great job rowly!! 1 year is super special. Congrats!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
