  1. i keep missing milestones congrats to you Dors!!
  2. sorry...that's what I meant but didn't explain as well as you did. LOL. clicking the icon will mark them as read...so the next time you log on or refresh your page...if the SOS thread is still faded..then you know that nobody posted anything new
  3. proud of you! you've got this!
  4. i deleted the duplicate. :) I do remember once making an "all clear" thread in SOS but then it was brought to my attention that it could backfire...say for instance, someone posts in the all clear and there's an SOS going on...or that person in distress accidentally posts in the all clear and nobody responds...one thing I learned is if you click the icon to the left of the forum (no smoking sign on desktop and a blue cloud looking thing on mobile) if you click that icon....it will fade and that means that nothing new has been posted since you last looked at it. That works for all forums.

  8. It's about that time...MQ is celebrating his one year of smobriety....big day, big day!! One year ago... you put down the smokes forever. During your travels on the smober path.. you joined a quit site...and boy oh boy...we are a lucky bunch that you did. You're more than a friend...you are family. :D I am so proud of you!! Celebrate in a big way, you deserve it Thanks for everything and most of all...for being you. Congratulations! :good3: :yahoo: :girl_dance:

  11. Welcome back Dancer and Mike! Big hugs to both of you...and congrats for making this your final, final, final quit. I know you can do it...you know what relapse feels like..so, no need to ever feel it again. :) Buckle up and enjoy the ride. You've got this!
  12. clear chest xray...yay!! better to get the sleep apnea taken care of and be done with it...you will do great :)
  13. I spend more money on food now...because i eat a lot of fruit and veggies....healthy food is more expensive. Also, my gym membership is quite expensive because it's not just a gym it's a fitness program...so it's a bit more. Still and all..less than what I used to spend killing myself smoking those damn cigarettes.
  14. I see Spring isn't an option here but that's my second favorite season..I love the new life. A new beginning. New babies..birds, ducks, deer, and bunnies. New grass, buds, flowers, there is suddenly green everywhere it had been gray and dull for months. Birds chirping.. Easter time and everyone going outside and enjoying the weather after a long winter...and the promise of Summer...which is really my favorite season..and like Joe said...less responsibility. Always feels that way. :) I enjoy Fall and Winter only because I choose to enjoy every day regardless of the temperature...but I would prefer to live in a warmer climate and still don't understand why I still live in Jersey.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
