  6. You"ve got the Jewel! You are already a non smoker....and it's not your mind or your body wanting the cig.....it's the addiction. it get's easier I promise hang in there...and post post post...read read read I remember early days....all I did was think about smoking...or the fact that I wasn't smoking....the crave that would just creep up and make me say to myself "DAMMIT!! when will it get easier??????" I found that when I stopped asking that question....it finally got easier and I would go hours without even once thinking about a smoke...I was shocked! not that those thoughts didn't come back...they did..sometimes with a vengeance....but I saw the light at the end of the tunnel...and it was a great feeling You are doing fantastic!
  7. smoking also sometimes masks underlying issues that we were not aware of while smoking. If this feeling continues, you might want to talk to your doctor. The nicotine should be out of your system by now....
  8. way to go treetop!! Enjoy your freedom!
  9. Vent away Jewel Quitting is hard....but being a smoker is actually harder That's what brought you to want to quit....being a smoker was just way to hard One day at a time...one hour at a time...sometimes...one minute at a time The only thing you have to do is not take a puff....you can do that...
  10. So very sorry for your loss Tracey! Quitting is hard....but remaining a smoker is WAYYYYY harder

  12. Brits do the date backwards from us...so you are forgiven Doreen too funny!
  13. i love running outside as opposed to treadmill...even if it is hot. Mostly because it's more interesting. Same reason I would rather ride my bike than take a spin class running tomorrow. I signed up for a 10 miler in october....probably wont end up running the entire 10 miles but it's the training that counts! I am psyched!
  14. congratulations Fay!!!!!! 4 years is awesome! I know you are enjoying your fabulous freedom!!
  15. Happy 4 year Quitaversary!!! 4 years of freedom and counting!

  17. Let's get on with the quit then. Prove sarge wrong Final quit. No relapses. But....one thing I do have to say. None of us are stronger then this addiction. Not one of us But it's not about strength. It never was. It's about smarts. Once you get smarter then the addiction and stay smarter...you will never smoke again

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
