Why is you going to my country fellow passenger ?
-
Dear Passengers, I started drinking with a friend at the pub, everything went fine, we talked, he smoked and I held my ground, until I got half drunk and came home to find a bottle of whisky, started listening to Dire Straits while my mind sent me to the saddest thoughts and there I broke, the pack of smokes that I decided to keep to prove myself that I was able to beat, was the one to beat me, I failed this time once again even though I was doing so well by 22 days. Gotta take this one in the chin and reset. Thank you for reading, Carlos.

I stopped inhaling nicotine and all its 4,000 chemical friends but on the weekend when I'm with friends and some happen to have some marijuana I won't deny to smoke, It doesn't give me any craving or whatsoever, however I do smoke it purely while they choose to have tabaco mixed so they can "last longer". Its still smoke but it's a healthy smoke I'd say compared to what we already had before.

Hi Tracey, Yeah the aim was to focus on the word "mad" so it went a bit to the dark side. Thank you. Hi Marti, Cheers for the appreciation, I do them to keep my mind out of the addiction so I guess I'm just clever, our brain is just amazing! For instance, I never saw a tutorial on how to use Photoshop, I just went for it and learned tool by tool, same as my English, learned through Google Translator and online games, Spanish came easy as I am fluent in Portuguese but still tricky to bend my tongue in order to spell some words properly.

Playing around with Photoshop takes my mind out of the real world, My creations for today, Time to go to bed.

NOPE! Doing my first nope, My quit is going really well, couldn't imagine it being better and I have no idea why its being so great, its like my brain blocked anything related to nicotine. Maybe it's my social anxiety that's helping it being easier as I'm thinking about other stuff most of the time or is it me that decided to nope permanently... It's gotten to the point where I don't even need to use nicotine patches... Oh well, can't complain!

Hi guys, Cheers for the feedback! :D Was looking for this. Hi Nancy, Thanks for the question, "Madheisen" is the nickname that identifies me and only me on the Internet, it has no real meaning as it is a combination of the word "Mad" which is short for Madeira, the island that I was born, also a word that I like in the English vocabulary and "Heisen" which was taken from the name Heisenberg, Heisenberg is the main character from the show Breaking Bad, one of the shows that I truly loved. In the real world we could call it a brand name. You guys are awesome, :yahoo: Thank you, Carlos

Hi guys, Recently this logo idea came into my head and I just had to do it, but, I've been looking and trying so many ways that my eyes don't see straight now, Can you guys tell me your first impressions when you look at it ? Thank you, Carlos

That's a good collection so far if you really like them, However I would recommend you to add a Seiko SKX007, they're about 200 US Dollars and their heritage is just outstanding, So, if you wish to add a piece to your collection that has history, is cheap and can go up to 15 years without service, buy the mentioned one. If you want, have a read about it here, warming, the blogger normally only reviews wrist watches that are over 50 grand so reviewing this ones says 1 thing or 2 about it https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/the-seiko-skx007-divers-watch If you ever think about getting a good looking dress watch that screams 80's, go for the Seiko SARB033, Again an automatic that isn't that expensive and truly looks amazing to my eyes. If you put it on a leather strap even better. I would add pics but the forum doesn't let me :D Thank you, Carlos

Hi skillfulabbot, I'm glad I could teach you something new today, Now answering your question, it is from Shutter Island, it's one of those movies that twist your brain in a way that you have to watch it twice to understand what really happened. Thank you, Carlos

Hello passengers, How many of you have interests for horology or anything related ? Honestly I've only started getting into it around November 2015, however I've always owned a watch but never got into detail as I had other priorities. Now, I just seem to know everything about watch movements, where they were created, who created them and so on but horology is more than that, it actually dates back to the Egyptian times, only starting from there you can truly understand and appreciate a good watch piece, either it being 10 pounds or 10k. Anyhow, which watches do you guys own? Do we have any collectors here ? With the money that I'm saving from the bad decision in life, this will be my first luxury watch to celebrate my 1 year quit, Why this one though ? Well, a few reasons; Most important I love it. It's a divers watch which suits everything. I was born on an island so everywhere I looked I would see the sea and now that I'm in London living, it's something that I just miss every single day so it will represent it in a way. It's an automatic watch, quartz watches are fine, I love them as I use them as my daily beaters but the automatic movements always have the human time put into them and not machines. It was worn by Mr. James Bond! So yeah, that's about it. If you guys wish to leave a picture of your wrist watch ,please, do so and if there's history behind it, even better as I'd love to know it. Also, if you guys fancy some wrist watch talk, I truly recommend this channel called The Urban Gentry, as it is full of class and hosted by a true gentleman that really loves horology. Thank you, Carlos

Currently on my 9th day, Everything has been fine so far, honestly I thought this time would be worse since I had a day to start, a reminder why not to give up but so far I haven't thought about any of it, I just feel fed up of smoking it's like when you hear that one song over and over again that it just starts bothering you, Been out for drinks with friends, before I couldn't see myself drinking without a smoke break, this time I drank, I went outside with my smoking friends, can't lie and say that it didn't affect me which it did but I thought It would be worse. Doing well so far.

Dear users, I go by the name of Carlos, I'm yet again another member that has the same objective has the last one, quit the addiction! I'm currently on nicotine patches as my work position wouldn't profit me to go cold turkey, my attitude and character is a must in order to obtain the best results, Today I celebrate my 5th day without smoking and I couldn't feel happier, as time passes by, the more fulfilled I get. My current trick to be able to sustain my cravings is having an half pack of cigarettes with me at all times, in the package a personal promise is written and every time my stress tricks my mind and I try to pick it up, my conscious knows that what's written in there is way more important than the excuses that my body makes to allow my mouth to get another puff into my lungs. The goal is the same as all, be able to achieve the life that I once knew, healthy, even better looking and most definitely free. Many thanks, Carlos
