  7. Those smoking areas in airports were some of the most dank and depressing places. They had the ambiance of a prison holding cell. The walls were stained from years of smoke. And the ventilation system was no match for that special brand of stank. It didn't help that most of them had that one plexiglass wall so that the people walking by in the terminal could gawk at us. It felt like we were part of the least popular exhibit at the zoo.

  17. You will. Eventually you will look back at these early days of the quit and realize it was all worth it. A few days of malaise for a lifetime of freedom is a good trade.
  18. There is only one way to kill the cravings for good...stop smoking. With every NOPE the addiction loses its power and eventually cravings become a thing of the past. Don't feed the beast. Everything you're feeling now (withdrawal, obsessive thoughts, etc.) is temporary. The freedom gained from soldiering on through the rough patches will last you a lifetime.
  19. NOPE!
  20. That just made my day Doreen. Long live Waylon!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
