  12. I bought new level 1 patches and I'm going to start again tomorrow. It says to use them for a month, but I only bought 2 weeks of the step 1. I feel so bad when I'm smoking, I don't know why I continue in the first place. I guess as you said, I'm an addict. I long for the days when I could put down the pack and not smoke unless I wanted to. Now I don't want to and I'm smoking anyway. I hope the patch helps. It seemed to be working for the 4 days I had it. It was only when I went to game and was surrounded by smokers that I started feeling tempted, then going to the step 2 patch in the morning it was like the craving hit harder than I thought it would.
  13. When I quit I had a few dreams of smoking. I talked to my dad about them and he said he had them too. But as soon as he started enjoying his smoking dreams, they stopped. So smoking dreams are apparently kinda common. Just remember you didn't really smoke, and that horrible feeling is the way you would feel if you threw away your quit.
  14. I'm glad the gum helped a little bit, but smoking anything is perpetuating the habit of it. I think the herbal cigarettes are a mistake. I don't think it's a failed quit, but I wouldn't recommend lighting anything and inhaling smoke again. I even stopped using my non-nicotine e-cigarette when I stopped smoking, even though it was my go-to when I ran out of cigarettes. I don't think the thing is even charged anymore. But at least you didn't smoke an actual cigarette. I'd definitely avoid alcohol for a while longer. It sounds like you're not ready for it yet.
  15. I wound up running out of step 1 patches so went ahead with the step 2, and wound up smoking this morning. I don't know what drove me to smoke.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
