I didn't know that we have rugby teams which can compete on international level. But after some of our beer I guess we can :D :D

Woohoo! I'm officially over the 72 hours mark! First 3 days are done with. And I must say that today's morning was just hellish. I slept only for 3 hours and was moody, tired and depressed. Had several cravings, or should I say one big craving consisting of lesser ones. Inner demons tried to tell me the stories about smoking from my past. How I spent a lot of good time with a cig in my hand, and how it 'helped' me to go through difficult situations. Physical side of this craving was very weak, it was more of a last attempt to reason with me and to bring me back to smoking. As you can see, it failed. First milestone is done for me. Now we're going for the week!

100% true about the ladies, lol. Was it a business trip for you?

Yeah, it's very hot right now in Lithuania. But I don't think this is the case, cause I drink a lot of plain water. It's quit related for sure. Feel a little bit better right now. I hope it's adjusting. My caffeine intake is very low. Only what I get from tea (I guess there is caffeine in there). I don't drink coffee these days. I guess it's detoxification what's waking me up. At least I don't have dreams about smoking :D It sure is! Will do :) It feels like a week to tell the truth :D

Yesterday was a really busy day and I was too tired to write something down in the evening. Well, in 3 hours it will be 48 hours mark for me. ONLY 48 HOURS? Jeez. Ok, let's make a list of what I feel: 1) Still feel a little bit dizzy. Drinking juice and eating properly. Hope it will go back to normal soon. 2) Sleeping is hectic. Waking up every 2 hours with a strong feeling that I had enough of rest. 3) Lungs feel better and I keep coughing up... echm... "stuff" :D 4) Haven't experienced any headaches or acid reflux since I quit. I guess you don't need pills, just quit smoking. 5) Today after I woke up I had the worst craving in two days. I don't know what caused it, but it lasted ~10 minutes. Washed it down with some loud music :D 6) All in all, besides some minor stuff, I feel awesome and don't see anything that can break my quit. :)

Lithuania is very, I mean VERY hot today. Almost unbearable. Yep, I'm in Vilnius so it's a little bit too far to go to the sea for a relaxing swim. :D Drinking a lot of water and yeah, I have some orange juice stashed :)

I'm from Lithuania and Day 1 will be over in ~3 hours. I feel wonderful, although the night was kinda hard. Was waking up all the time. I'm pretty fine and yes, it's amazing. I'm loving every second of it. Yeah, it's a gas mask. A new gas mask which prevents me from inhaling the smoke :) I don't know. Just making the stuff up :D

Yeah, it's like our bodies congratulate us on our quit with a natural high. It's fun xD

Thanks to all! It's ~11 PM here. More than 10 hours have passed. I feel wonderful, but a bit dizzy. I think it's a healthy amount of oxygen is kicking in :) Had several cravings throughout the day, but they were really weak. Made them go away just by thinking about all the positive changes. Kept myself busy all day with random stuff. Exercises, movies, video games, talking to friends, taking a shower, music. It looks very promising this time. One more downside, my lungs feel like they are made from wood and sometimes I feel a slight pain. But I know this is just a part of a healing process and I need to be patient. I think I'll have a cup of fruit tea and go to sleep. Tomorrow awaits me!

I've already smoked today. But those were my last cigs. NOPE for the rest of the day!

It's a skill I acquired in my teens. Spent a lot of time on different message boards :D

A liitle over an hour ago I became a non-smoker. My last cig tasted awful. Like the first one. Right now I feel very good, well, a bit excited too. No cravings so far. Drinking a lot of water and I have some juice for the evening. So far so good. Will check in before going to bed. Or earlier in the SOS section, lol. But I highly doubt it. :)

Thanks to everyone for the kind words of support. I'm already 1 hour as a non-smoker. And it feels good. It's time to start a "quit" diary/topic. *marches* :D I'll remember that. I'll do it right away in the "quit" section. :) Yeah, I tried that and was smoke-free for some time. But was too weak and death-sticks won that fight. I'm from Lithuania. I see you're from UK. A lot of people from my country went to yours in a search of a better life :) I will :)

I have 2 cigs left, now it's 11:39 am where I live. I'll get some stressful issues out of my way, finish my cancer sticks off and I'm planning to be a non-smoker from 13 pm.

Hello everyone, Although I chose this nickname for message boards, my real name is Vic (short for Victor). I smoked since I was 16, and now I'm 27 (soon to be 28). I tried to quit numerous times, but I just couldn't succeed. Tried different methods, looked for help in various places. Now I found this one. I believe that only ex-smoker can truly understand what a quitter is going through (as with all the addictions). So I will try again and seek the support. Maybe I will cry, maybe I will be very irritable. But I'm quitting this time for good. It has to stop. PS. Sorry for my English. It's not my native language.
