1. Congrats, Evelyn. We're in the same boat, just keep on rowing :D
2. Thank you, Marti. I really appreciate your support! We sure will. Nothing will stop us now :)
3. Wonderful! You have to stay positive about your quit. You're getting all the benefits and they will stop coming again if you take that one puff. Good job on saying 'no' to yourself.

Got It!

Great to see your problems with the ticker gone. :)
5. Thanks a lot! I'm really excited today and don't have any cravings. Thanks to all for the support. I'll just keep on going :)
6. Hey, keep it up and we'll have more celebrations on the same day, cause I'm not stopping :D Good job!
7. Nah, smoke stinks. NOPE.
8. Good job, Susana!
9. Yesterday night I had to take my granny to a hospital, cause she had some kind of seizure. It was a rather stressful experience as I didn't know if she will make it. And I couldn't stop thinking about smoking, how it would help to relax. It was just in my brain, I didn't feel any physical sensations. For more than 2 hours I had to deal not only with the situation but with a junkie thinking as well. Not a SOS situation, but rather unpleasant one. Today granny's ok, still in the hospital. And I'm still smoke-free. I need to stay healthy for my relatives, friends and loved ones.
10. Welcome! Good job on your quit. Don't stop :)
11. Congratulations! Way to go!
12. Yogi, Here's a ticker for you: If the info is right and you like it just copy the code, paste it in your signature field and delete two dots (1. Between U and R in first URL; 2. between M and G in first IMG), and then just save the changes: [u.RL=http://alterna-tickers.com][iM.G]http://alterna-tickers.com/tickers/generated_tickers/q/qlc8ar2ni.png[/img] Or alternatively you can go to http://alterna-tickers.com/, create your own ticker and grab the second code, with square brackets. I hope it helps. Feel free to ask! :)
13. 5th day was the easiest so far. No cravings, good mood. A lot of stuff to do. Noticed someone smoking outside and was disgusted by the smell. Only my sleeping patterns are kinda strange. I sleep ~5-6 hours and have the same amount of energy which I had after 10-hour sleep as a smoker. A lot of free time which I can use to conquer the world, lol :D
14. I'm doing fine too. It's not that hard, is it? :)
15. I'm eating something delicious everyday. It's time to change the reward system a little bit or I will grow a lot of weight this way, lol :D
16. I hope there won't be no more hard days for you. Keep up the good quit and stay free!
17. Nice job! You'll be smoke-free for a week soon!
18. I will! Not smoking today. Don't need it :)
19. The 4th day is 'Cough' day. Been coughing and coughing and... It seems like my body tries to get everything out of the lungs. Right now there's a strange feeling that something's stuck down there and I can't pull it out. Cravings are more like memories. I'm remembering what I used to do in different situations (and I used to smoke), but I don't feel the urge to do it. I'm more at peace with non-smoking me right now. But I can't relax. I know that it can strike the moment I'm most relaxed. I feel like a spy now, who needs to stay hidden. My brain sometimes thinks that I'm still a smoker, sends me on a journey to the balcony or commands me to choose a brand of cigs in the shop. And I go to the balcony, to inhale some fresh air, and I choose a brand of cigs just to realize how expensive they are. I don't block out all the activities associated with smoking, it's just looking at them from a different angle. Spy games at their best. I guess when you get addicted to something you're never out of the woods. Gotta stay on your toes for the rest of your life.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
