  2. Huge hugs, Nancy!
  3. One of the funniest, craziest and most creative actors to watch not only in movies but during his interviews as well. It's really sad. RIP.
  4. For sure. NOPE for me too!
  5. Good to hear, Evelyn. Stay free! :)
  6. Yeah, working out is so much easier and fun. :) And you progress much faster.
  7. Oh, by the way Granny is fine, thanks! Hospital released her already.

  10. Congratulations on beating the SOS situation and making the first month. There's only one way and it's up!
  11. 3/4 of the year DONE! Congrats!
  12. Want to make a little update on my non-smoking situation and what I feel. I'm over 2 weeks now, but today was the hardest day since the first week. I literally was thinking about buying paper and tobacco as an alternative to cigs, This idea looked so good to me at that time. But I managed to go past the shop. Maybe too much stress at work, or too much alcohol on Saturday (I drink VERY rarely and it was like a shock to my system), or the returning heatwave, or everything combined together. Apart from that I feel great: no cough, no headaches, my sleep pattern went back to normal. I have more energy, can concentrate better and deal with stressful situations faster. And yeah, keeping my life busy. As someone on these message boards said, it's ridiculous how I was wasting so much time smoking. Moving on to tomorrow. It will be better and I still won't smoke.
  13. You don't want to throw your quit away now, after 2 weeks smoke-free. Just think about it. You survived 2 weeks, and now because of some chemicals you gonna start all over? Sleep, nap, do something, drink a cup of tasty tea with lemon, eat something, cry. Just don't smoke. The only thing that you'll think after taking first puff" Why have I done it again? It's not worth it. Make it through the day, tomorrow will be easier.
  14. Wow, what a stressful day. But NOPE for me!

  17. Awesome job, Tom! Congrats!
  18. Thank you all! It's been quite a journey for me. I almost haven't noticed the second week - a lot of stuff to do, time perception going back to normal and so on. Still very excited and happy that I found these message boards and all the support that you all provide to each other. Not supermen or superwomen, just regular caring people. It's wonderful! Yesterday I had a little bit too much of alcohol (but no, no cigs :D ). Birthday, quitting smoking and some other nice events in the past month. So I'll just go and watch some series and nap through the rest of the day. Have an awesome Sunday. And Thank You once more!
  19. It's getting easier and easier and every win in a fight is a stone on the neck of smoking. Good job!
  20. Early day for me today. But NOPE all the way :)
  21. You should remember that you are a non-smoker. That's all. Do all the things you've done before. Just don't smoke. Why? Because you aren't smoking. Easy. And of course it's going to be fun :)
  22. Awesome job, Sandy! Congratulations!
  23. What a wonderful day to be a nonsmoker. NOPE!
  24. What a magnificent post! Once again, congratulations on your 1 year of being smoke-free. Many more to come!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
