  3. OK - I think the 3 of us all watch and enjoy the same movies - and the fact that Action included Die Hard is classic - great taste in movies both of you - but don't forget Babes in Toyland / March of the Wooden Soldiers - I watched Santa Claus 3 last night with Tim Allen - I like those movies to - Don't forget about Deck the Halls with DeVito and Broderick and a Christmas Story - every kid needs a red rider BB gun.
  4. Kristin - I am glad you reached out and the ladies here walked you right down the best path for you and your quit - you should be very proud of yourself - it is not easy for two people to just decide they will quit something together -on the surface yes but what lies underneath is where it comes from - just because you are truly ready for this new and much improved lifestyle doesn't mean he is. But I do agree that you do control who and what you will buy for someone else - I would create the boundary for sure - you don't have to enable anyone else you just have to protect your quit - you deserve it and you are doing so well - we are all proud of you!

  7. You are doing great Jess - I know how you feel - I keep looking forward to new milestones as well. Treat yourself to something as soon as you see the 1000 cigarettes not smoked - that is a huge accomplishment :)

    2 Hi Saz!!
  12. Welcome B90 - congrats on your decision to quit - I smoked a pack sometimes more everyday for 25 years so I can relate to a sleepless night. Saz is quite correct smoking a cigarette will neither help or hurt the outcome of your exam (that is an excuse or even a trigger of some sorts) you have to rewire your brain now that you are a non-smoker - you quit before for a long time so you know you can do it again - the only difference is now that you want to stay quit for a different reason -whatever it is a commend you. It is not easy but it is certainly achievable. Say close to the board there is always someone on here to talk to. Good luck on your exam and better luck on your quit.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
