  1. Congrats on 7 months! Well done indeed!
  2. NOPE for me!
  3. We all have lives outside of the QT - I know sounds crazy because we are all always here - anyway Babs had some great insight and advice - I think it is amazing btw that she is almost 2 1/2 years quit and is paying it forward and part of this board as is MQ etc.. we are surrounded by inspiration - if I get caught up and miss one daily NOPE pledge it bothers me - not because I have any craves but because it is a lifelong commitment - Rowly you got this 2 months is not a fluke it is a reality - take it a day at a time as you have been and you will get through any "craves your mind is tricking you into thinking are real" dependency is long out of your body by now - it is no longer physical it is mental. Good Luck! I am looking forward to seeing your ticker hit 3 months in no time at all.

    The Last Game

I last saw my brother about 3 years ago - never been that long either we are only 12 1/2 months apart & shared a room for 17 years and he followed me to my college and fraternity as well. Long past due but NH is far away and cold as hell right now. When was the last time you broke a promise if you ever have?

  16. Life is an unwritten path - there will always be crossroads and obstacles to face - along the way everyone picks up a few bad experiences some are lasting while others are more easily forgotten - there are also milestones and achievements that is what people tend to overlook - I do not know one person who if given the chance wouldn't go back and do something differently - hell I would never have picked up a cigarette 25 years ago but I did and it took a quarter of a century to put it down for good -major regret smoking 25 years (over 182,000 cigarettes) more significant achievement NOPE for the next 50 years + You have to choose which perspective to live by pain, suffering, regret or acceptance, forgiveness and moving forward - only then will happiness be found. You are still on this side of the grass so now it is your choice to be happy or scared - I say take the reigns and choose a good path for you.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
