  1. NOPE, never on my birthday.
  2. Reviving an old thread. A lot of cute, presumably nonsmoking bunny rabbits at Japan's rather famous Rabbit Island near Hiroshima.
  3. NOPE for Tuesday October 1.
  4. Actually had quite a few tornados in the central North Carolina area despite being far from the center of Hurricane Helene. The NC mountains got serious flooding and areas south of here, especially Florida and Georgia got hit a lot worse. NC pics below: https://www.wral.com/helene-brings-downed-trees-flooding-to-nc/21646147/
  5. For @Lust4Life2016 's 8 year smoke free anniversary. (Apologies for all the smoking in this video)
  6. Cute video from female Japanese punk rock band Shonen Knife featuring lots of cats, presumably all non-smokers.
  7. On the very edge of the future path of Hurricane Helene....actally, Raleigh isn't even in the cone path. But there are already tornado warnings out about half an hour from my house. Helene looks like a beast. I hope the folks in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and western North Carolina get through this as ok as posssible.
  8. I coughed a lot, especially during my later years of smokinng (I smoked for roughly 20 years, less than a lot of people here have, not sure if that makes a difference). Once I quit, my coughing dropped down dramatically for several weeks and then got a lot worse for a while. I do believe it has to do with your body clearing out all of the garbage in your lungs from smoking and the timing of this varies from quitter to quitter. This often happens through coughing up. This is fairly normal. Things do get better over time.
  9. Congratulations on 8 years smoke free @Lust4Life2016 I'm really happy for you. Great job!
  10. Congratulations on being 3 years smoke free, @JustSomeGuy Great job. Apologies for the slightly late post but celebrate your great achievement.
  11. Congratulations on 12 years smoke free @bakon Great job! And thanks for all the great and amusing support you've given to others over they years.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
