  5. Thanks guys. 1 year is awesome. I was the king of short-term quits and relapses. To any newbies reading this, if I can quit for good, anyone can.

  7. Thanks for the welcome, Joe. When I joined QSMB last November, I joined as johnny5. My name is Johnny and I really liked the movie Short Circuit when I was a kid (where there was a character named johnny 5 in it) so that is the name I go by there. I was basically shooting for a name that would resonate with me during a more innocent time before I picked up smoking. A few weeks after I created an account there, I saw that there was a "jonny5" that was very active on that site not long before I came there. I had no idea about that and felt kind of bad about it. I joined here a few days ago. I originally joined here as johnny5 too but I found out that the other jonny5 is a member so I took the 5 off. Sorry for any confusion.
  8. Thank you buMbLeB
  9. A bit early for me but I will NOPE for Thursday. NOPE - Life is too beautiful to be dragged down by a nasty and deadly nicotone addiction. I will not smoke.
  10. Thank you, Nancy.
  11. I'm Johnny. I actually heard about this site from another site. I am a 5 days away from 1 year smoke free. Quitting smoking, while very challenging in the beginning, is one of the best things I've ever done. I knew it would benefit me from a health standpoint but my overall outlook on life has changed a lot for the better. Thanks for having me here.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
