Welcome to QuitTrain, Missy! Congratulations on deciding to quit smoking. Everyone's method of quitting is different but I had similar experiences to Sslip. I tried to quit smoking a couple of times in the past (before this quit) by switching over to vaping and I think I wound up vaping a lot more than I was smoking. I felt I was taking in more nicotine that way and actually started feeling worse than when I smoked. Ultimately the goal is to stop consuming nicotine all together and I agree with Sazerac that vaping is prolonging the withdrawal. You might want to talk to a doctor about other types of Nicotine Replacement Therapies if you don't want to try cold turkey. Whatever method you use, though, there is a lot of support and knowledge you can get here to help you quit for good. It is good to have you here.
