  1. NOPE - I don't smoke anymore.
  2. Congratulations Rasdaan!
  3. Yeah Rusty, the first few days of a quit are really rough but you are making it through. 5 days smoke free is huge because those early days are the toughest. You are almost at a week and you should be really proud. Keep up the great work. Do whatever you have to do to stay busy and smoke free. The longer you go without a cigarette, the better you will start to feel.
  4. You are doing great, Sunny! It can be tough early on but you have the right attitude. You can do this. You are doing this!
  5. Congratulations on 10 months smoke free, Huntress!
  6. Congrats GITW! Half a year is a big milestone. Celebrate big today!
  7. Congratulations Gordo! You are doing great!
  8. Nice to see you, Hermine. I hope all is well and I'm glad you are still going strong in your quit.

  10. Welcome back, Rozuki!
  11. I remember you from QSMB too, Rusty. Welcome to QuitTrain. Stick around. You can quit for good this time.
  12. Post all you want. This place is here to help you quit smoking. Post all that you need. You are doing great by not smoking. The longer you go smoke free, the easier it gets. Keep up the great work!
  13. Congratulations Opah!
  14. Stephen King's Doctor Sleep is good. It is the sequel to The Shining and it centers around Danny, the kid from The Shining, as an adult. It helps if you have read The Shining first, though, as the book is a lot different than the Jack Nicholson movie.
  15. Reading for fun is good. I agree with @notsmokinjo , the Odd Thomas books are great fun to read. After reading this thread, I was thinking of highly cerebral books to suggest (The World According to Garp, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, etc.) but it didn't feel right Bitter Blood is a highly detailed true crime novel of some really weird things that happened in my hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina. https://www.amazon.com/Bitter-Blood-Southern-Madness-Multiple/dp/0451402103 Replay by Ken Grimwood is an interesting sci-fi about time travel. https://www.amazon.com/Replay-Ken-Grimwood/dp/068816112X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1524446291&sr=8-1&keywords=replay+ken+grimwood Just some random stuff that entered my mind. Nothing groundbreaking but interesting reads.
  16. Keep posting, Sunny. Do whatever you can not to smoke. You are doing great!
  17. Congratulations @Phoebe2 , a quitter who came here from QSMB, on 4 awesome years smoke free and helping others quit as well. I hope you celebrate today!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
