  1. Please wish huge congratulations to GloryB, a 2014 Avenger from QSMB who joined here a few days ago, on reaching the awesome mark of 4 years smoke free today! Congratulations on a job well done, Glory!
  2. Glad you found us, Wren! Congrats on getting close to the 3 month mark. As others stated, this can mean No Man's Land for some but it is normal. Keep up the great work. You can definitely make it through this.
  3. NOPE - no smokes for me today.
  4. I'll throw my 18,407 cigarettes into the fire. Yikes, that's a lot.
  5. I grew up in the 80's and early 90's. We had the Braves games on TBS and the Cubs games on WGN. I found Wrigley Field, the announcer Harry Caray, and the Cubs teams in general (Ryne Sandberg, Andre Dawson, pre-Braves Greg Maddux) to be more fun to watch than the Braves teams of that era. Then the Braves stole Greg Maddux and became really good in the 90's but I was already permanently a Cubs fan by that time.
  6. Watching the Chicago Cubs vs. Boston Red Sox spring training game. Getting pumped for regular season. Go Cubs!
  7. Glad you were able to finally get your coffee, Jo. I'm even more glad you kept your quit. Great job!
  8. Welcome to QuitTrain, Jordan. It is good to have you here. I'm sorry to hear about your health issues but hopefully things continue to get better for you. Regarding smoking, I also tried to quit in the past by cutting down and also by using e-cigarettes and would strongly advise AGAINST both those options. E-cigs lured me into a false sense of security and I think I was actually consuming more nicotine that way than by regular cigs. Cutting down drove me nuts and I could never get below three a day. I think both are not good ways to quit. Reciprocity put it best. Cutting down isn't an option, you need to quit right away. There is a lot of support and knowledge you can gain here to help you quit. I thought quitting would be impossible but the help you can get from others at support groups like this can really make a huge difference. Read and participate often here. It can really help you quit for good.
  9. NOPE - I don't smoke anymore.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
