    Hit and Run

Cubs place both Yu Darvish and Jason Heyward on the disabled list. I don't wish injuries on anyone but I'm not sure if it will impact the team too much the way their seasons have gone so far. Chicago calls up 23 year old minor leaguer Jen-Ho Tseng to take Darvish's place in the rotation tonight. Tseng is currently sporting an 8.04 ERA this season in minor league ball so this could get ugly. Then again, the Cubs are facing the lowly Miami Marlins so who knows?

  6. Some of Sazerac's New Orleans music postings made me think of this song.
  7. Yes, life is wonderful without a cigarette. You may just be getting a glimpse of that now but it will become much clearer and stronger with time. Keep up the great work, a smoke free life is worth the early ups and downs of a quit.
  8. You are doing great. I remember when I counted hours smoke free. 17 days smoke free is a huge accomplishment. Those first few days and weeks are big victories and it does gradually get easier and become less of a big deal. It definitely sounds like you are making huge progress in becoming more used to life as a nonsmoker.
  9. Great job, Sparkzzz!
  10. Welcome to QT, Avian.
  11. I can't give you any advice on the patch as I didn't quit that way but, as Sazerac said, you are stronger than any crave. Keep fighting through them and it will get easier.
  12. Congratulations Weegie! Half a year smoke free is a huge accomplishment!
  13. Congratulations JB!

    Hit and Run

Tomorrow is the 20th anniversary of Kerry Wood's 20 strikeout performance against the Astros, which still ties the most strikeouts in a single MLB game.
  15. Keep up the great work and great attitude. You got this!
  16. Welcome to QuitTrain, Suz!
  17. Great job, Octain. Congrats on 4 months!
  18. Welcome to the Lido Deck, Joe! Celebrate huge today!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
