  3. Keep up the great work, Kev. There still may be some ups and downs but the longer you remain smoke free, the easier things will become.
  4. NOPE, never again.
  5. That storm is supposed to be arriving in my area late tomorrow evening, around 8 or 9. They are calling for torrential rain and heavy wind through most of the night. There is also supposed to be a significant temperature drop. It could be pretty bad. The site I use most is Weather Underground and I see that you have it on your list. I also use a local network, WRAL, that has above average weather coverage but it is mainly for the eastern North Carolina area. I used to really like The Weather Channel but it has really gone downhill over the last few years.

  9. I probably qualify. I follow the weather pretty closely and am fascinated by thunderstorms, tornadoes and hurricanes... ...unless they are coming towards my house and living in North Carolina, that is always a possibility.
  10. Congratulations Jane! Almost at a year, I am really happy for you!
  11. Congratulations on 6 months smoke free, Max! That is awesome!
  12. Congratulations!
  13. Enjoy your vacation, Reci!
  14. I still have smoking dreams from time to time. They usually feel like nightmares, especially right after I wake from one. I think it is common for many ex-smokers. I just tell myself there is nothing I can really do about my dreams but as long as I stay smoke-free in the awake world, I am ok.
  15. That's wonderful news! Congratulations Joe!
  16. It blows my mind that you could do a triathlon as a smoker, Jim. I ran cross country in high school but gave up running once I started smoking. Cigarettes took way too much out of me to even think of doing something like what you just described.
  17. You did great, Rose. Every time you fight through a craving or difficult moment like this, your quit gets stronger. This was a huge victory. I'm happy for you. Keep up the great work.
  18. Congratulations Seren! That first month is a huge accomplishment. You should be very proud.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
