  2. Welcome back, Rozuki!
  3. I remember you from QSMB too, Rusty. Welcome to QuitTrain. Stick around. You can quit for good this time.
  4. Post all you want. This place is here to help you quit smoking. Post all that you need. You are doing great by not smoking. The longer you go smoke free, the easier it gets. Keep up the great work!
  5. Congratulations Opah!
  6. Stephen King's Doctor Sleep is good. It is the sequel to The Shining and it centers around Danny, the kid from The Shining, as an adult. It helps if you have read The Shining first, though, as the book is a lot different than the Jack Nicholson movie.
  7. Reading for fun is good. I agree with @notsmokinjo , the Odd Thomas books are great fun to read. After reading this thread, I was thinking of highly cerebral books to suggest (The World According to Garp, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, etc.) but it didn't feel right Bitter Blood is a highly detailed true crime novel of some really weird things that happened in my hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina. https://www.amazon.com/Bitter-Blood-Southern-Madness-Multiple/dp/0451402103 Replay by Ken Grimwood is an interesting sci-fi about time travel. https://www.amazon.com/Replay-Ken-Grimwood/dp/068816112X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1524446291&sr=8-1&keywords=replay+ken+grimwood Just some random stuff that entered my mind. Nothing groundbreaking but interesting reads.
  8. Keep posting, Sunny. Do whatever you can not to smoke. You are doing great!
  9. Congratulations @Phoebe2 , a quitter who came here from QSMB, on 4 awesome years smoke free and helping others quit as well. I hope you celebrate today!
  10. Welcome to QuitTrain, Novo. I'm sorry you are going through rough times right now but congratulations on taking the initiative to make positive changes in your life. Quitting smoking is a very huge and positive change. As other have said, read as much as you can here about nicotine addiction and participate. There are a lot of good people here that will support you in your journey.
  11. Congratulations Jules!

    Hit and Run

Darvish has been a disappointment so far. I really wish we could have re-signed Jake Arrieta. He's doing well for the Phillies. @notsmokinjo Being a huge Cubs fan, you should check out Cub's Den. It is an awesome blog covering the Cubs, their minor league affiliates, the baseball draft, and the international free agent market. http://www.chicagonow.com/cubs-den/
  14. Congratulations Grund! You are doing great!
  15. NOPE all you want. Complain all you want. Do what you have to do as long as you don't light up. Oh, and please get rid of those cigarettes as soon as you can. The less temptations, the better.
  16. You are a non-smoker now, Jo. Don't worry about statistics that may or may not be accurate. Just keep doing what you are doing because you are succeeding.

Yep. It is early but Javy Baez is starting to look like a superstar. The talent has always been there but the consistency hasn't.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
