    Hit and Run

^^^ That would be a great scenario. I hear a lot that the Cubs want to pursue Bryce Harper in the offseason, especially since I believe he is good friends with Kris Bryant. I would prefer Machado, though, for various reasons. The guy is awesome and I am just not a fan of incumbent SS Addison Russell. Teams who trade for half season rentals seem to struggle in re-signing them to new deals for some reason. My only issue with trading for a half season of Machado is I don't think the Cubs have enough reserve talent to make the deal work. It would be nice, though.
  11. That happened to me a few times as I progressed further through my first year. I would be going well for weeks, even a few months, and weird thoughts / craves would hit out of the blue, for no easily understood reason at the time. It is a reminder that we are all addicts. These instances will grow a lot less frequent and a lot less intense with time. Eventually you will get to the point where you just have the occasional, very weak, thought of smoking that you can easily brush off. But, you have to remain vigilant. You did great and it does get easier with time. I understand it is frustrating when these feelings emerge out of the blue like that. Just keep NOPEing and you will be fine.

    Hit and Run

I've been hearing those rumors from the comments section of Cubs Den, a fan blog I follow http://www.chicagonow.com/cubs-den For a half season rental, I'm not sure what the Cubs could offer up in a trade. Our minor league system is pretty weak. I'd have no problem in trading Addison Russell, Ian Happ, and a couple of minor leaguers for Machado but I think it will cost more than that. But, I keep hearing the rumor that the Cubs are trying to get him. Stay tuned...
  13. NOPE! Happy Friday, everybody!
  14. A song and video that makes me think of Smurf, a cool guy and awesome song poster over at QSMB. I hope you are doing ok, man.
  15. I'm sorry to read this, Sunnny, but I do applaud your honesty in telling this to the board. Many people leave support groups like this after relapsing. I'm glad you didn't. I've had many short quits and felt like I was a serial quitter for years. It really sucks. I'm glad I'm past that and I hope you can get to that point too. It is real freedom to break from that cycle. Be honest with yourself and analyze what went wrong and caused you to smoke. Ask yourself, are you happy as a smoker? I really think you aren't. I hope you start a new quit again soon and do whatever you have to do to keep the quit. Reach out to this site if you feel you are in danger of smoking again.
  16. Congratulations Ellen!
  17. Great job, Suz! Congratulations!
  18. NOPE - I don't smoke anymore.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
