  1. Congratulations Kelly!
  2. Welcome back, Pumpkin. I'm sorry you've had trouble quitting for good. I had multiple short attempts and I think your remark about "sabotage myself" kinda fit with me as well during those times. I think part of it was being scared of actually really succeeding at quitting. But, I can tell you, as I'm sure you know, that cycle of quitting, relapsing, quitting, relapsing, really sucks. When you are quitting, you wish you had a cigarette and when you were a smoker, you wish you were quitting. It is best to quit for good and stop going through that crazy cycle. Eventually things get better. Take it one day at a time and don't focus on your past relapses. Try to focus on the positives of what you are doing by quitting. If you get down or feel the need to sabotage yourself, remember that what you are doing by quitting is a really awesome thing. You can do this.
  3. Great job, DragonsFancy. You are making it through the roughest times. Keep up the great work!

  6. NOPE!
  7. Congratulations on 6 years smoke free, Cristobal. Your posts and advice helped me out a lot in the early weeks and months of my quit and I know they have helped many others as well. Do something big to celebrate today.

Yeah, stay safe, Stewie. I just looked this up and it is about to hit Portugal. Crazy weather....hurricanes and tropical storms hardly ever hit Europe.

    Setback

Welcome aboard, Mel. The weekends were toughest for me to stay quit too, early on, but with education and support, you can quit smoking for good. You can get both here. Read up on nicotine addiction and reach out whenever you need help. You will be doing a great thing by quitting smoking.
  11. I'm glad you fought through this, MLMLR. Quitting smoking can be tough and it takes a while to completely adjust to life without cigarettes but all this hard work is worth it. Keep up the great work and thanks for posting the SOS. We all want you to succeed.
  12. Congratulations Barry! Stop by and let us know how you are doing.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
