  1. NOPE - I don't smoke anymore.
  2. I'm glad you've decided to hang in there, My Life. Nothing is worth lighting up another cigarette over. Remember, smoking will not solve anything, it just makes things a lot worse. Thanks for posting an SOS. These first few weeks can be rough but it is worth fighting through. Things do get a lot better with time.
  3. NOPE, never again.

  14. You're doing great, Linda. Humor is always a good way to break the stress of the early stages of quitting... ...and it does get easier as your quit progresses. This is all normal. Keep up the great work.
  15. Welcome to the board, Kdad. I had a number of short quit attempts as well. Getting support and educating myself about the nature of nicotine addiction really helped me quit for good. That support and education can be found here and can really help you too. Remember, you are doing a great thing by quitting smoking. There is nothing positive that comes from smoking, it is all negative. Quitting smoking is challenging but is an incredibly positive life change. You are doing a great thing by quitting.
  16. Welcome TobacNo. Congratulations on deciding to quit smoking. You are doing a truly great thing. Read as much as you can about this addiction here and don't be afraid to reach out if you are struggling. Knowledge and support greatly increase your chances of quitting for good.
  17. Welcome to QuitTrain, Nik. You've gotten a lot of good advice already. Be proud of what you are doing. Quitting smoking may be tough but it is an incredible life-changing thing to do. Keep up the great work.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
