  1. NOPE - I don't smoke anymore.
  2. NRT's have been very successful for many people but they used it to slowly ween themselves off of nicotine. However, at this point, you are already nicotine free - I wouldn't go back to putting nicotine in your system. What you are feeling is now psychological cravings, not physical ones. It is best to stay nicotine free now. I'm glad I'm glad you are back. Great job posting an SOS. You can do this!
  3. Congratulations CAquitter!
  4. Congratulations Gabes!
  5. Welcome to QuitTrain, Hayley. Congrats on deciding to quit smoking. Like you, I had several attempts to quit before quitting for good. That cycle of quitting and relapsing is horrible. It is best to quit for good and leave the cig's behind forever. Yes, it may feel like quitting is very hard. These are normal thoughts. However, seeking out support as well as educating yourself about nicotine addiction really helps in quitting for good. You will find a lot of support and knowledge here. And to reference Jillar's previous post, more people will see your posts in the introduction thread. There are a lot of people here willing to help you out and wanting you to succeed in quitting for good. It is nice to have you here.
  6. NOPE - nothing good comes from smoking.
  7. I'm so glad you posted an SOS and fought through this, Tammy. Anytime you need our help, please reach out to us. I hope whatever you are going though gets better and you can get some peace. Just remember, that peace will not come from a cigarette though. You are over 4 months quit. That is a huge accomplishment. Do whatever you have to do to protect that great quit.
  8. The damn irritating voice inside you will quieten down soon. Craves, even strong ones like you are currently going through, will go away. Just don't smoke.
  9. You are stronger than your crave, Tammy. Whatever is going on will NOT be fixed by smoking.
  10. You have a great quit going, Tammy. Don't give up on it. Hopefully you've noticed considerable positive life changes since putting out that last cigarette. You will just throw all that away if you smoke again. I've relapsed before. That relapse cigarette is horrible. It will not give you peace or relaxation. It will just taste horrible and you will feel horrible. Please don't light up. Nothing is worth going back to being a smoker.
  11. Congratulations Wren!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
