  1. Welcome aboard, @Vivianne You are doing a great thing by quitting smoking. Try to focus on the positives which you will eventually find out far outweigh the early, short-term negatives. There really is nothing at all positive about smoking but a lot of positives to putting smoking behind you for good. Joel Spitzer's videos are definitely worth your time but if you can access Allen Carr's book, "The Easy Way to Quit Smoking", I would also recommend that. It really helped me see smoking in a different way and was a good resource in my quit. Stick close to this site. There is a lot of knowledge, fun, and distractions to help you. It is great to have you here.
  2. I also hope you are having a better day today, Abby. Keep fighting and you are right - smoking will not help at all. Stay strong and keep the quit.
  3. Congratulations MQ! Thanks for all that you do with running this site. Celebrate big.

I think this is the link Jo was talking about. https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/christians-recovery/ There were a couple of people at my old quit smoking site (QSMB) who had mentioned Sober Recovery and said it helped them with problems they were having with alcohol. Just looking at the site right now, it looks like it covers a wide range of addictions as well as having a lot of subforums targeted towards certain demographics. I did google Christian drug recovery forum and really couldn't find much, although there does seem to be quite a lot of Christian support groups, just not so much in the way of online communities. Hope that helps.
