  16. My name is Johnny and I quit smoking a little over 4 years ago after being a smoker for a little over 20 years. I had made a number of attempts to quit smoking that were very short lived but I found that the support and knowledge you can get from a quit smoking forum like this can really help you quit for good. If you are new to your quit, stick around here...read, participate, be entertained by some entertaining and funny folks. It can really help you reach your forever-quit. Knowledge and support makes a world of difference. Entertaining distraction really helps too. I realize now that I was quite miserable as a smoker for the last few years that I continued to light up. Quitting smoking was one of the best things I've ever done and I love to see others succeed in this as well. Life as a non-smoker is so much better than all the BS you have to deal with as a smoker.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
