  7. Welcome to QuitTrain, Control Freak. I'm really sorry about the rough times you are going through but I am glad you have decided to quit smoking. A lot of great advice has already been given so I'll just add.... ...I really like your name. If you like being in control, you will find quitting smoking very rewarding in the long term. As smokers, we were all slaves to feeding the nicotine addiction. Breaking free of that addiction means gaining large control of your life back. One of the huge benefits to quitting smoking is not having your life focused on getting your next nic fix. That new-found freedom and control is wonderful. Welcome aboard. It is good to have you here.

  11. I have no freaking clue but I am curious to the answer. I saw 7:00 on the clock in your image and it made me think of this very random late 80's hair/glam metal song "Oh, It's 7:00, time for the party." I haven't heard this in years but this was the first song that entered my mind when I tried to dissect your artwork.
  12. NOPE - never again.
  13. Congratulations Heather. That first week is the toughest. Keep up the great work.

  15. First off, thanks for posting an SOS. It is really important to reach out when you are struggling. Quitting smoking can be hard. It is both a physical and a mental addiction and those first few weeks can be really tough. But quitting and keeping the quit is very doable and is worth fighting for. Prior to joining a quit forum, I struggled greatly in trying to quit. I had several relapses and I HATED myself for that. I didn't know what I was doing wrong but I later learned that the only thing you can "do wrong" with a quit is light back up. I'm sorry you are struggling but you are doing nothing wrong. We've all been through this before and you just need to fight through it. Do whatever you have to do as long as it is NOT smoking. You are almost a month smoke free and you are doing everything right as far as I am concerned. Smoking now will only make you feel miserable. Keep the quit, things do get much better with time.
  16. I'm sorry you have to be away from your family but smoking will not help this, or any other situation. All smoking does is make things worse. Keep the quit. You will be glad you did.
