  9. Welcome aboard @LadyDraga and congratulations on 14 days smoke free. You are doing a great thing by quitting the smokes. Stick around this site. There is plenty of knowledge and support you can get here to help you stay quit for good. It is good to have you here.
  10. Not having my life revolve around when I would get my next nicotine fix. It takes a while but you eventually gain peace with not having to continue feeding this addiction. I used to think that smoking calmed my nerves. I realize now that this is a lie. These are strange times we are going through right now with CoVid and I'm pretty sure that if I had not quit, I'd be chainsmoking while following the news to calm down and try to put things in perspective. I now realize that I would just be adding much more physical and mental stress during a time like this if I was still smoking. Even in bad times you realize that life is much better without cigarettes and nicotine in your life

  17. Congratulations on 4 days smoke free. Unfortunately anxiety is common during the early stages of your quit. Things do get better with time and a smoke free life is worth the early struggles. This sums it up perfectly. This is the addiction trying to drag you back in. As long as you resist and do NOT light up, you are winning. Things will improve but smoking now will just ruin the great job you have done so far.
  18. Congratulations Sunshine! 7 months smoke free is great!

  20. You're doing great, Guttie! Keep up the awesome work!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
