  1. Congratulations on 3 years smoke free, @catlover and thanks for all the support you continue to give to others. Celebrate big today!
  2. Venting is perfectly fine and is a good thing. It does help. As you know, smoking will not help....anything. It will not fix the crappy situation with covid, restrictions, social distancing, etc. You can't control this covid mess but you can control your quit. You are right, the answer to how you can miss something that is so bad for you is the addiction. But, it will not always be this way. Things do get better with time, even if it doesn't feel that way right now. Vent away. Do whatever you need to do as long as you don't smoke.
  3. I'm really sorry to hear this, Jill. We're here for you.
  4. Keep up the great work, @JH63
  5. Congratulations on a great quit, pig lover, aka @reciprocity I hope you stop by QT soon. You've helped many in their quits.
  6. I'm sorry to hear this, Boo. I still have three grandparents living. One is 102 and was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago. She is in good care at a very nice retirement facility but it is still rough. My other two grandparents are in their 90's and, until recently, were still living in their house. My grandmother on that side has recently had instances of hallucinations that sound similar to what you described. She was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago and was recently moved into a care home. Dementia really sucks. I wish I had better things to say. It is good your mom is going to see some doctors and medical professionals. Hopefully things go ok but I know it is rough.
  7. Welcome aboard, @Annien You are doing a great thing in quitting smoking. It is great to have you here.

  11. Welcome to the site Holly. Congratulations on 5 days smoke free. You are doing a great thing in quitting smoking.
  12. Covid has really hurt a lot of us when it has come to isolation, loneliness, etc. Still, smoking will not help any of that. If you cave in, you will feel even worse. Fight through this and you will still have your smoke free life going, a life that will become easier and more rewarding with time. Good for you for posting your frustrations, Linda. Please believe that a cigarette will not fix any of this.
  13. Great job tossing those smokes away and keeping the quit. I'm glad you are doing so well in your quit.
