  2. Congratulations on 4 years smoke free, @jillar Thank you for continuing to pay it forward by helping others with their quits. I hope you celebrate today. And here is your cute rabbit pic.
  3. Great choice, Sumanth. No need to wait. Quitting smoking is a truly great thing to do. I smoked for 20 years, starting during my freshman year in college. I ran cross-country in high school and it didn't take long after I started smoking to where I couldn't run like I used to. After quitting, running did become easier with time. Replacing smoking with a good habit, like exercise, is a great idea. The main thing is that you commit to not taking another puff, regardless if you pick up another activity or not. With time, you will see that quitting smoking will have a lot of great benefits for you. Welcome to the site. It is great to have you here.

  8. I'm from Raleigh, North Carolina. The other members' posts are right. The best time to quit is as soon as possible. There are always going to be stressful situations but you cannot let that dictate your quit, if you want to quit. While it may be tough early on, quitting gives you more control over your life and may also give you the strength to face other tough situations life throws your way.
  9. Congratulations Jenny! 5 years is fantastic.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
