  8. Cravings ease with time and everyone is different in regards to how long it takes. Still, we've all smoked for a long time so it takes a while to get past the thought of smoking as a crutch during certain times. Just remember, that cigarette will not help anything. It will just destroy your quit and you will have to start over from the beginning and sometimes people even struggle with trying to start over. What you are experiencing is absolutely junkie thinking. You are doing great with 2 months smoke free. Keep the quit and things will continue to gradually get better. You are doing great and what you are experiencing is normal.

  18. Not having my life revolve around when I would get my next nicotine fix. It takes a while but you eventually gain peace with not having to continue feeding this addiction. I used to think that smoking calmed my nerves. I realize now that this is a lie. These are strange times we are going through right now with CoVid and I'm pretty sure that if I had not quit, I'd be chainsmoking while following the news to calm down and try to put things in perspective. I now realize that I would just be adding much more physical and mental stress during a time like this if I was still smoking. Even in bad times you realize that life is much better without cigarettes and nicotine in your life
  19. NOPE - Smoking sucks!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
