  9. I haven't seen a bonfire here lately. I'll gladly throw my 31,500 unsmoked cancer sticks into the fire. Feel free to throw your unsmoked cigarettes into the fire for everyone who has had their lives cut short due to horrible nicotine addiction.
  10. Welcome aboard Mick. Congratulations on almost 1 month smoke free. You are doing a great thing in quitting smoking. There is a lot of support and knowledge you can gain here so make yourself at home.
  11. The early days of a quit can be rough but hang in there. Things do get much better. The far healthier life of being a nonsmoker is worth the early struggles.

  16. I quit cold turkey but it took me a number of quits to finally get to that final quit for good. I can't give any advice on NRT's as I have no experience with them. However, I have seen since my quit that there have been many people who have successfully quit by NRT's so quitting that way is very doable. Just follow the instructions and keep reaching out for advice from others who did quit with NRT's. You are doing a great thing. It is easy to get discouraged but don't. Quitting smoking is a great thing regardless of how you accomplish it.
  17. Great job, UpInSmoke. Congratulations!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
