  2. Venting is perfectly fine and is a good thing. It does help. As you know, smoking will not help....anything. It will not fix the crappy situation with covid, restrictions, social distancing, etc. You can't control this covid mess but you can control your quit. You are right, the answer to how you can miss something that is so bad for you is the addiction. But, it will not always be this way. Things do get better with time, even if it doesn't feel that way right now. Vent away. Do whatever you need to do as long as you don't smoke.
  3. Keep up the great work, @JH63

  12. Covid has really hurt a lot of us when it has come to isolation, loneliness, etc. Still, smoking will not help any of that. If you cave in, you will feel even worse. Fight through this and you will still have your smoke free life going, a life that will become easier and more rewarding with time. Good for you for posting your frustrations, Linda. Please believe that a cigarette will not fix any of this.
  13. Great job tossing those smokes away and keeping the quit. I'm glad you are doing so well in your quit.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
