  17. I had a moment within my first few weeks of my quit where I decided, screw it, I am going to smoke. Before I could get to the closest convenience store to buy some smokes, my mind talked me out of it. I was actually disappointed in myself that I wasn't going to go in and buy cigarettes to smoke. I was angry that I couldn't do it. Then I slowly realized that as frustrated as I was, deciding not to smoke was the right decision. It sucked at the time but I knew sticking with my quit was the right decision. You are doing the right thing by keeping the quit. It might not feel like it sometimes but it will get better. Quitting is tough but it gets a lot better with time. Life as a smoker just gets worse and worse.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
