  2. Hang in there! The nicotine monster is getting weaker and trying to trick you in to smoking! You might feel like crap but the nicotine has pretty much left your body now and whats left is all in your head! Feeling the crave means you are kicking the habit, you are stronger now and took back the control of your body The crave only lasts a couple of minutes and nobody every got hurt from a crave! Hit the wall, kick something, yell at the top of your voice, but please keep your quit! Your at a weeks quit and you got through the hardest part so far!
  3. Congratulations on your quit! Its funny how quitting affects #2! But it's scary how smoking affects the entire body!
  4. That's $33.00 that you would of scrounged up some how to pay for your smokes by digging the change out of your pockets, car or purse, get $5.00 less gas, cheaper bottle of wine, ect, somehow you would of came up with the money. I say give it a couple of weeks and you will have a problem holding up your pants with all that loose change in your pockets and have a 2 wheeler to haul your purse around! Congratulations on 4 days!
  5. Its sure nice not to have to worry about that smoke controlling your life! Nothing holding you back from doing anything you want too now! Even if its just cleaning windows!

Post often especially if your are feeling weak (SOS) and the troops will come running to help talk you away from the crave! Or just hang out on the social side and have some good laughs, a bunch of crazy people here so you will fit right in! Its a whole new world to enjoy without the chains nicotine holding you back or controlling your life! Remember: You have to want to quit smoking more then you want to smoke! Since Tracey is out of town for a bit think I'll see if Bakon and Justsomeguy want to take a ride down to the Dirty Cooter tonight on the bikes and see what trouble we can get in to! We know the sheriff and the mayor ;)
  21. Doreen, Makes me sad to read about this again but also makes me PROUD to know such an amazing lady who can still play it forward with everything going on around you! You are an inspiration to me and the QUIT TRAIN! Positive thoughts are always heading your way!

Weather man by day, biker trash at night! First first of all you need to change your image of a goody two shoes! and no white socks with flip flops or pink leather jacket while on bike!
  23. Now that's the spirit Raya! It takes a little time to learn new things especially you being a old fart like me! Being in management you know people fear change at work and the same thing applies to quitting. Our mind and body fears this change so we have to retrain our brain and detox our bodies and it is not always easy. It also takes some time learning how to be a non smoker like watching out for triggers, dealing with the cravings, changing your way of thinking about smoking, dropping old bad habits and making new healthier habits. It does help to post a lot at the beginning because everyone here has gone through what your going through now. There is a lot of experience here to help you. Best of luck to you my friend.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
