  3. Just want to add I didn't get it for a long time that quitting could be as simple as "nope". In fact it angered me when people seemed to think it was that easy ." Nope " was very frightening for me and I didn't think people understood where "I" was coming from. Quitting mean't letting go for good and I felt helpless without my crutch to protect me . It WAS complicated for me in the beginning but I refused to smoke no matter what life threw at me . I analized everything to death (in regards to my triggers) . People , places , things , circumstances , the past ,and the nerve of some people too :) I suppose for me it was part of the process but I could have made my quit so much simpler by just accepting my quit and no matter what smoking would not be an option . The way out of this mess was to get through it . >>>> Forward being the only direction to take and not looking back . I know you can do this too . It might not be easy , but I would be excited to see what blossoms out of all your hard work . I gauentee it ; quitting will change you , and others around you .
  4. I am new here . I don't know all your story but I am sorry that you have had to go through so much . It isn't fair sometimes . Quitting smoking is something you won't regret . It is putting you first . You are special and you recognize that you are from what I see . You are special and deserving . Sometimes the past can get in the way of the present . Quitting gives you the gift of a new start . I hope you will continue on this journey with those here on Quit train . It seems to me people here do care . I know I have not walked in your shoes or in your footsteps but I can pretty much guarantee most of us here and in 3 D all have hidden pasts that we wish we could have changed. The good news is we can change what our life is today for a better future . The past can be used to help heal others , to walk with others . Good can come of all of this and I believe it will in time . I have to believe , but for now , lets quit smoking what do you think ? One step at a time and lets let the healing begin and let it begin by helping each other .Hope to see you soon on the nope pledge . Sherri .. it all started with day 1

My apology , this includes everyone because I know for myself I noticed a huge change in my asthma just within a few short weeks of quitting , and by six months I went fom three inhalers to just a rescue inhaler. I was always sick with upper respiratory infections and by quitting smoking and as well being on new medication I have had not one cold in a year now . I know quitting smoking made a difference .
  6. Quitters with 6 months or more? Have you all noticed a huge difference in the amount of times you get sick and the severity since you have quit?

  16. You can quit . Yes for sure posts an sos before you ever smoke . I noticed this forum is not real busy but you could also PM me and I usually check in once a day with a blog story . I will message you back . Don't smoke and wait for my reply . I am not great at Chat as I don't type too fast LOL Use the distract delay , discuss , drinkwater ...and one more?? Dance , doodle whatever you can to help yourself as well Remember Halt . Hungry , angry , lonely , tired . Use the SOS and I love the feature here where you are asked to write a messsage back to yourself as if it were someone else you are helping Use the games section . Google online yhatzee . There are card games( if you enjoy that ) Its free . I used those a lot. Nap , cry ( its healthy tears ). Walk , mall walk and window shop . You can do this Read others profiles here and others who blog Keep blogging yourself , it helps to see things more clearly sometimes ALL the best . Message me if you need to
  17. Knowledge and wisdom There is a difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit not a vegetable. Wisdom is knowing not to include it in a fruit salad. add yours
  18. 3 years ! I wish I could post a huge banner to honor your 3 years quit , but I am still trying to figure just out how to do that LOL . Please know I am sending my congratulations on such a special day .
  19. These celebrations are so awesome. So are you ! Two weeks are behind you and the next two weeks ahead will bring you to 1 month quit . It just keeps getting better and better . I admire these huge huge HUGE accomplishments. Congratulations .
