  4. Happy to see this group . Documenting and committing to excersise keeps me accountable . I was doing well until just recently . I noticed I am a bit down motivationally so this group being here will definitely help with my commitment . Yesterday I walked , let's see I don't have a fit bit or a step counter but in terms of city blocks I walked 21 blocks to a beautiful little site overlooking the pond-grabbed a ten minute break and bottle of water then walked 21 blocks back home . That made up for no excersise beyond my usual the day before lol . Temp 18 degrees Celsius . Today it's 7 degrees Celsius rain snow mix but sun is out now so putting it off isn't an excuse anymore . I try to attack this the same way and my quit . No excuses , just get the job done ! A new paved path was created in my neighbourhood last year .. pretty neat once our trees finally get leaves and flowers start to bloom .. it's about 2O blocks in the opposite direction on the outskirts of the city so it's seems like your not in the city at all so thats where I'm headed . Living in the city country style . Have a good day everyone .

    Second vaccine

Hi everyone . I'm Abby . I have not been on this site in a while and just feel with all this covid fatigue it might be wise to stay close. Covid fatigue is real and entering into this second season is really disheartening isn't it ! We all thought that this would be over and yet ( also Canadian ) we don't seem to be much better off than a year ago , but still we do see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel if we can just get these vaccines into the arms of those who want them and stay safe . We have to take care out there to protect ourselves and others . I guess just like quitting smoking in order to get past this , we just need to get through it one day at a time . I have had my first Pfizer vaccine ... side effects on a graded scale a one , meaning almost none and I am awaiting the second dose in 3 months . My 11 year old grandson is in quarantine due to one of his fellow classmates contracting covid . Mom and dad are both front line workers . One still not able to be vaccinated It's concerning for every family when covid hits. Stay safe everyone . Thanks for letting me share.
  6. Thanks , I must clarify . I am grateful for nine years quit this month and on my way to 10 ... and looking even more forward to 15
  7. I remember days and even minutes seeming forever ! Its definitely worth waiting out every crave . Anxiety less , craves non existent , happiness more . . Grateful , yes . Grateful for the encouragers newbies and elders who stood beside me as equal . Hope you are all doing well , staying safe , staying quit and making your way work for you . You can do it .

  21. The picture of that tank full of cigarettes is a very good quit tool . Can you imagine them smouldering .. the smell .. ug ! What would those glass windows look like ? . Would we actually be able to see through them ? Do you remember a time when in hospitals they had those glass rooms and people sat in there and smoked . I was one of those people and when I got a chance I would go outside instead because the smell would almost make me vomit . I would send anyone I could to go buy me a pack if I was getting low or should say three packs just in case you know. Boy it sure makes you appreciate not smoking . No more stressful moments like those .
  22. No , no smoking for me .

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
