  1. Hi some of you might remember me, it's taking me awhile to post, been lurking for afew weeks. More out of shame that I have been sucked back into the world of smoking again! After being smoke free for 6 years in lock down 2 years ago I stupidly thought I was far enough ahead I could smoke a joint every so often. For a year I managed to keep it occasionally but it was becoming more regularly on the weekends. This last year I have gone back to daily use. Only in the evening and weekends, with the odd cigarettes chucked in as well. I have come to the conclusion I wanted to stop again before I started smoking cigarettes again, in the day through the week as well, and inevitably go back to 20 a day. So here I am, tail between my legs, but here to face up to it. I've re-read Allen Carr watch Joel video's determined that this quit is the one, I was so happy as an ex smoker. Learnt my lesson now. I'm an all or nothing kind of gal! I have to stop both. There is no questioning it anymore. I quit on the 2/1/22 so already hit a month. Hope everyone is OK!? let do this
  2. Thank you ? Thank you ? Thank you. It's definitely do able ? Thank you ?
  3. Hahaha! It's even taken me awhile to answer back on here. I have stop a lot of the running. But I'm now coaching a under 15's football team. Which keeps me busy. Nice to see you still around Boo ? Thank you ? Hay Sazerac. Nice to see you back on here x
  4. Well this place has changed a lot since the last time I was here!! I don't know if anyone will remember me. I haven't been on of ages, but I have now hit four years smoke free. Well, in April anyway! Lol. I just felt I would like to post. For anyone out there that are going through the quitting process now. It is soo worth it. Four years on. I have no interest in smoking. Nothing at all. I use to smoking 30 a day and started when I was 16. I'm now 43 just. I never thought I could quit, but places like this are a life saver, no way would I have managed to if it wasn't from the support of people that had gone through it before me, and they do it out of the goodness of their hearts. Seriously though. Do this, do it now. There is life after smoking, a better life too. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and you will get there ?
  5. Congratulations Boo!!! I don't think you were ever in doubt.

  13. Yay!!! Excited for you. I didn't use champix but I know a few that have. Take with food is one tip. Also some couldn't take the full dose as it made them sick. We are all different . I knew some that swear by champix.
  14. Tiff, life sucks sometimes. Things happen to people or will happen in the future and we can't change that. Quitting Smoking is no guarantee that we will life long healthy lives but for me, I am happier now I have quit. Smoking does so many things to us that you only see the further along we go. It only natural to doubt what you are doing sometimes but I do get what you are thinking. When I first quit. My best mates 18 month old boy died. He had a virus that attack his heart and he couldn't cope. My mate took her life about a month later. It made me question everything. I persevered and I'm glad I did. Stick with it Tiff xxx
  15. Sorry about your hamster. I have owned some in the past. Lovely pets. Christmas day sounds great. Let get this one to stick :)
  16. Congratulations Doreen!!! Very well deserved ;)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
