  1. Thankyou Tracy, sorry I can't work out quotes either but I think that just my phone.
  2. I can not work this calendar out, I'm trying to put the 04/04/2016 as my two year anniversary and it keeps telling me i have done something wrong. Can someone please help me!!
  3. I got one for you Bakon and may also be a regular on this thread. The other day I was cleaning my Beardy's house out. I took the glass doors of but as I cleaned it I didn't lay it at an angle and even though I wasn't pressing hard the glass smash. So at the moment she has one glass door, a piece of the bottom of a draw and a cereal packet. Bless her I would take a pic and show you but I'm in work. This is what it should look like:
  4. Lovely pics, they look very happy together.
  5. Halloween theme for these guys
  6. Halloween theme for this weekend
  7. Lovely post Marti, there is certainly a choice in this like everything in life. Choose your pain! The pain of quitting or the pain of what you will do to yourself if you don't. I'm willing to bet that the latter is far worse. Thank you for taking the time to post this.
  8. I think lying and cheating is a bit harsh Evelyn! You came out and admitted your mistake. You also picked yourself back up and stopped yourself again. I think in fact I should say I know you are one amazing lady, and yes you will here me say that word to you a fair few times, I say it as i see it. I still stand by what I said earlier you do what it right for you as long as your happy we will support you whatever, that goes without saying. If you had ask me what I would do in your situation then I would have to say I would have gone back to the beginning, I have done it to myself, i throw away a two month quit for three cigs and put myself straight back on day one, but making it to a year completely smoke free and the joy and accomplishment of making awhile year without smoking, well you will find out soon enough that their isn't many better feeling out there.
  9. first thing I thought about was an orgasm....was it just me? or am I just horny...haha
  10. Evelyn, you do want makes you happy, this is your quit. The most important thing is you!! Think of how many fags you haven't smoked and we be amazed compared to the ones you have. As I have said take what you want to from this place at the end of the day this is your and yours alone BUT we all want to support and see you do this.
  11. honestly, 366 days will be sweet release :) I laugh at that statement, how true it is. You keep posting, pour out all your emotions. You have so got this!!
  12. so sorry to have not notice earlier (mind you I would feel a bit weird posting it up as I have only been here for like 5 mins) Weather it be each day at a time you celebrate it and we will be here to shout with you. Ignore post that don't help like you would people in life but I'm sure it's more tough love than anything. Evelyn you never cease to amaze me.
  13. Congratulations to you!!!!!!! Hell week done and dust, never to be done again.
  14. TEW, you sound like me mate the nearer I got to a year the more my stupid brain thought you have done a year now you can smoke. Then I pondered the thought until is drove me mad. My advice to you would be don't give that thought anymore air time. Smoking only seems so attractive because you haven't smoked for awhile and you have forgotten the reality of it (which is a good thing, as it means it really does get better!). I know you are getting strong craves but if you did slip you would have to go through the whole quit process again. There would be no grantee that you could do this again. I have seen four people slip up this year from long-term quits, hate it, but as much as they try they can't quit again. So cling on TEW, don't throw away your glorious quit, not after working so hard to get to where you are now
  15. End of the day you don't smoke, I know it is horrible when we treat the people we love like that though. Alcohol was a definite no no for me for about 6 weeks. When I did have my first drink I would stay in and have a drink until I felt more comfortable. Now it honestly doesn't bother me, there isn't a association anymore between the two. It does happen.
  16. love the name change The tight chest Is just your body healing itself people can feel worst before they feel better and you will too!

  18. Congratulations on your two years!!
  19. We will always be ex-smokers. Non- smokers are people that have never smoked, ex-smokers are people who decided enough is enough. I don't think our body will ever be like people that have never smoked. Even though health is most certainly an issue, the fact that you are free from the daily grind of smoking is well worth it in itself. Nobody knows what may happen around the corner but statically wise you are in a better percentage than you would be if you were still a smoker.
  20. Sorry I haven't said hi, I wasn't sure if you were genuine either. Congratulations on your marvellous quit! Keep us posted with your progress
  21. Congratulations on your two years
  22. Maybe if you can it could be an idea to hang around here a bit more weather you are quitting or not. It will help you get motivated and inspired to stop again, but also support is here on tap not just for smoking. I hope things get better for you. Life can be hard at times but I is worth fighting because when it is good, well it is just amazing.
  23. A big congratulations from me!! One year is truly an awesome achievement!!
  24. I can see your clip Doreen. So nearly there Rowly

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
