That certainly was a big battle won, well done you! Quitting is easy when we get easy days it the hard times that show if someone is really serious about quitting. Honestly, not meaning to sound horrible, but some of the lame excuses I have heard are pathetic. You have showed you mean this, good for you.

For all of those getting ready to take the plunge in to Quit Ville. I want you to remember this. I know that at the moment you cannot see yourself as a non-smoker, none of us did. But being here, shows that you want to quit. I know that in your head even though you hate smoking, it feels like a part of you, every part to your adult life has had an aspect of smoking associated with it. Though thick and thin it's been there, when you want to celebrate, commiserate or just the routine of life. The good news is that although there is a physical addictive side to break, that ends relatively quickly a month maybe two and it does start to get easier. By six months it gets alot easier, but of course the complacency facture then kicks in. The reason that I have said the statement that it is good news is a routine or habit can be broken. As time goes on you will inherit new routine's as you do different triggers which though your smoking life time you would of acquired quite alot of them. If you just hold firm. Listen to these guys, when times get close, and for those times when you really can't remember why you quit. If you do nothing, sit on your Loral's and keep the blind faith, in what we are all saying on here, eventually, we can't say when, but eventually you will see the truth. The truth as I see it. "Smoking or nicotine is a very clever produce. It slowly goes around it's business of being a parasite in your brain. It binds itself to you. It change the paths in your brain. So that it can get the maximum fix form you. You are it's host, like something out of a horror movie, and it does all this without you even noticing. It doesn't care about your body, it uses it and kills it slowly with whatever disease it causes along the way. It can never have enough nicotine and calls on you whenever it wants, it doesn't care what you are doing, weather you are with friends and family or even if you are sick. It doesn't stop, because it's selfish. It even has you believing that you enjoy having this nicotine in your body, you get a buzz from it. Clever isn't it. If you smoke a cigarette you feel normal, when you stop the nicotine levels start to drop and then the withdrawals start again. Over and over throughout the day this happens. All day every day until you die. It's re-wired your brain to stop you eating as much, drinking and some people sleeping. They are the three main components to keep our bodies health and working to there best. This parasite doesn't care about YOU! Only it's next fix. It is basically taking everything from you, stripping you of all your nutrients to feed itself. You can never completely get rid of the parasite but if you stop feeding it it will go to sleep and lay dormant but if you intake even a tiny bit of nicotine, it will stir and wake up again, best keep it a sleep! " So there we are next time you start to think you are missing something. A friend or something that you really enjoyed doing please read this again. Because this is what you Will see if you keep going, this is the truth about smoking.

I don't think using a e-cig is classed as a relapse and well done for withstanding a cigarette. What I did want to say is although you did the right thing, if it got to that stage. For your own benefit if you have been nicotine free, though cold turkey, putting any nicotine into your system is just going to prolong the withdrawals and make it harder for you. You have to learn to deal with situation, go through triggers, to learn to do without smoking or nicotine in anyway.

Some smokers want to us fail. It's in their nature, because they lose a smoking buddy. They are also envious because you have quit. And they can't. I do believe their are people that can smoke casually but would you really want that?! I would have snapped someone hand off at the beginning of my quit. If I could really smoke, just when I wanted too. Now though, being free of it all for well over a year. Riley, you ain't the goat, if you stick with this quit, with us as a group! You will be the clever one. onwards and upwards! It's the only way.

look how well you are doing I can!! Work out a plan, Remember to embrace your quit, Smoking is not an option. The drink and food will taste much better without a cigarette and if you do have some alcohol, there is another positive from quitting, hangovers are not as bad when you don't smoke. I promise you that is true, but you won't get to test that if you smoke.

very sorry to read this, you and your family will be in my thoughts xx

Congratulations Nancy!! -
Whatever you need Paula, just yell!
-
Congratulations, three years as brilliant.

Welcome Paula, support is certainly what you will get here. If you are still smoking the odd one here and there. The first thing you have to do. Is throw all your smoking stuff out. Draw a line and say that is it todays the day, I will not have one single puff. Having the odd one now and again is just prolonging the process. Every time you feed the beast, you give him power. Starve him and he will go to sleep.

Natalie, don't believe the lie. I will do you a deal. You withstand from smoking today and if you still feel that one cigarette will give you pleasure. I can have one. Remember though, that it would just be that one, if you smoke it may take you awhile to come back again. Go take a bath have a shower or go somewhere you don't associate with smoking. Drink some water and distract yourself.
