  2. Evelyn - 11/9 is a great quit date, and don't let your mind play tricks on you otherwise - Nancy just posted this earlier, and I thought it was brilliant http://www.quittrain.com/topic/2719-think-you-need-just-one/ recommend that you read it if you haven't already! You don't need to smoke Evelyn - just for today, but you don't need to smoke.
  3. Hi Evelyn, what a great decision to come back here and quit again... I did see you logged in a few times, but thought it best to let you post when you felt it was the right time. I think this is a great time. What is your quit date?
  4. Thank you Nancy... I think I am going to bookmark this... for emergencies.

  11. WTG Sammie! 3 weeks is huge! The hardest is behind you, and you will now be starting to see the real benefits of being smoke free - haven't seen you for a few days, but I hope that you are well, and that you drop by to tell us how you are doing:) Really happy for you, and you should be proud of yourself! :d
  12. Holly... 3 monts is such a massive achievement, and I am so happy to see you reach it! I know you have had up's and down's, but I am glad you are with us now, and have found your sticky quit! Please, let us know how you are doing - have you all settled in after your move? How is your family? How are you? Big congratulations my friend!
  13. Mason, massive congratulations! 3 months is a really, really big deal, and I'm really happy for you that you have reached this point! I see you pledging to NOPE each day, and it makes me smile :) Hope that you and your family are well, and you are enjoying your new life!

  18. Also, 'NRT products can ease your body safely off of nicotine'... Safely?! So now Cold Turkey isn't only 'not recommend', but it's not 'safe'... And 'without burning out your willpower'... Willpower is not a tangible thing - it can't be measured... so how can they make this claim?! They make it sound like NRT is magic, and will quit smoking for you. Ugh, such BS...
  19. I'm not even sure how they can get away with that... In fact, I don't think that they could say that, here I'm the UK... It's disgusting how big corporations pray on people - and it sounds like this CVS and GSK don't give a damn about anything but their bottom line. Not recommended my arse.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
