  1. Good point REZ :good:
  2. Nope
  3. Hello? Jess?
  4. Hi Dave, nice to meet you, you are doing great :fabulous:
  5. Nope
  6. Hi Jess, it's OK to ask us for help - that's what we are here for :) I'm sorry you are having a hard time of it, but you already know that smoking is not the answer! How are you doing now?
  7. Kendra, stay strong and do not submit to the cravings you may be having!
  8. My house is cutreently a no-swear zone :) But I don't mind if people want to swear online - there are even threads for it :)
  9. That's really nice - they must think a lot of you :d Happy Birthday ;)
  10. Nope!
  11. How is Batman Dog settling into his new home?
  12. Hopefully you wake up feeling better. Everyone has to deal with the crap that life throws as us. Only the stupid people need a cigarette to do so (and that is not us anymore, you, me, or anyone else here).
  13. Nope
  14. I currently have 13 unread text messages on my phone... And that's pretty good for me, as it was 30+ a few weeks ago...! I think I would drive you mad :p
  15. Yep, at 11 days the feeling of 'missing' smoking is going to be strong because it was your crutch for so long... So you feel alone without those cigarettes. This is completely normal, and exactly how we would expect you to feel. But don't give in, it is not worth it. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.
  16. Well, my main reason was to have a baby... but of course I have found many other surprise benefits along the way!
  17. Thank you all - I have only just spotted this as I was away with work for a few days, and had completely forgotten all about my quitversary (other things on my mind I guess!). For all my old friends here, thank you for being with me - for any support I have offered you, you have all given it back in spades. Couldn't have done it without you all (literally). For all the newbies, and people starting again... I promise one day smoking won't even be a thought... I hardly ever think about it, unless maybe I see or smell someone else smoking, and I haven't had what you could call a 'crave' for ages, certainly not since I found out we are having a baby, so at least 7-8 months! Any bad feelings will go away, period. Just stay strong and stay close to the board and don't make any silly choices, and you will be OK too. :d Thanks again to all, you really are lifesavers! PS I'm not going anywhere, this is just my annual speech, lol :good:
  18. Sorry I'm late mammy....! Huge congratulations ((((Doreen))))
  19. Good to see you Aine :d Yes, Derek is excellent... Highly recommended and has a unusual mixture of being extremely crude while being very heartwarming at the same time :good:
  20. Nope
  21. I seem to remember 6 weeks being a big deal for me... Perhaps that's when I actually started believing I could do this (because in the beginning, I was pretty sure that I was going to fail!). Bottom line - it DOES get better!
  22. That's right Evelyn, cut the crap - exactly spot on! :)
  23. Las Vegas for me.... Although I don't think I'll be having any resemblance of a holiday (vacation) any time in the foreseeable future...! (i honestly don't mind though!)
  24. Michelle, firstly, I hope everything is fine. I'm not surprised medical information can't be shared via email, no matter the results - confidentiality and all that. So... It sounds like you are unknowingly trying to give yourself an excuse to smoke... Your brain is telling you that the results will be bad, and is playing on that vulnerability to try to trick you into smoking! Your brain thinks it needs nicotine, so will try anything to fool you into smoking... Hang tough, as it does get easier :good:
  25. Over here you can only smoke e-cigs where you can smoke normal cigs - and I think that is the only solution really.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
