  1. Are are we talking proper football or your version of it?
  2. Hey Kristin, sorry to hear about your troubles, and that you feel left out. The thing is that your friends don't 'get' to smoke, they 'have' to smoke because they are slaves to nicotine... You are no longer the slave that they are. I know it may be hard to believe this right now, but on a few months, you will be able to go outside with your friends, while they smoke, and you don't. And they will ALL ask you how you do it, because they don't understand. Even now, when I go outside with smoking friends so we can continue or conversation or whatever, they always ask me about my quit - they are fascinated, and jealous and they want to be where we are, and that is a nonsmoker. You are doing great, and you've always got us guys to talk to about these things - we got your back!
  3. And who said thank pink is not manly!
  4. True Tracey, I never saw it when I was a smoker... Getting my fix was number 1 priority above all else!
  5. Congratulations, you are doing great! All better from here on out :)
  6. Congratulations Reene, I am so happy for you my dear! I knew that you would do it :) Hope that you do something lovely to celebrate, you deserve it! Speak with you soon!
  7. Something I saw yesterday made me think about what sort of person I was as a smoker; a selfish one. We were at a 2 years olds birthday party, and when the birthday girl wanted to open her presents, she was told no, because she had to wait for mum... Mum was outside having a cigarette. Cue a crying (bawling) child for the next 3-4 minutes... Heartbreaking to be honest. It made me remember how selfish I was as a smoker. Always thinking of myself before anyone else. Smoking in the car even if it made Tasha poorly, leaving her alone in a restaurant to go for a smoke, refusing to do things if they interfered with my smoking. I never want to be that person ever again. Who else here was a selfish smoker?
  8. No, we didn't take him home, and not sure what his/her name was... It was in with about 6-7 of it's brothers and sisters (who were all black or black and white), and there was a list of names, so I'm not sure who was who. I didn't think it was fair to enquire about it if we were not intending to take it home... I'm sure that the little guy/gal will find a new home in no time!
  9. NOPE Evelyn, I am very happy for you today :)
  10. Both together? That's what I'd do :d
  11. Went to the animal shelter today, and look at this little one... 10 weeks old.

    SOS

Oh Gabby... You poor thing. But you know that smoking will not make any of that better!

    SOS

Gabby, I see you say that you want 'a smoke so bad' Well, there is no such thing as 'a smoke'... There is one smoke, followed by a second smoke, then a third, a pack, a carton, and EVERYTHING bad that comes with it... You get the idea. The only thing smoking a cigarette will do is make you want to smoke ANOTHER cigarette! It will not make you feel better in the slightest! I know that you already know this, but it's good to get a reminder sometimes :) Please can you tell us what is wrong Gabby? Maybe sharing will help? Come on Gabby, you can do it!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
