  1. As Evelyn and Doreen said, luck is not necessary ;) Cold Turkey is a good choice for removing all the crap from your system in the shortest possible time :good: Remember that when you get stressed, come here and ask for support. And take it one day at a time to begin with. Rooting for you :)
  2. Awesome - good for you :good: Be proud of yourself :)
  3. Nice to meet you Morgan :) Glad you found us and decided to drop this 'problem' once and for all :good: There are some good examples here of people here who are very happily quit, while their partners continue to puff away... So, it is entirely possible for you to stay quit regardless of your partner - his smoking should in now way be linked to your non-smoking (maybe easier said than done in the beginning, but it gets so easy in the end!) Look forward to getting to know you better, and we can do this :d
  4. Nope!
  5. Nice ticker :)
  6. Thank you for sharing Nancy... Will take a while to sink in over here :(
  7. This one for Beth then, NOPE
  8. This is very sad an sobering news... I'm not very good in situations such as these, so I think I will have to go with what Sarge said, and say the Beth was a Lifer - free from addiction to the very end. I'm sure she wouldn't have wanted it any other way. We didn't always see eye to eye in the beginning, but we certainly got to know each other better after a while. A truly kind hearted lady, even if she did not show it immediately. RIP Beth / Queen Green

    Where is?????

OK, I am here, just like magic... only 2 weeks late  Having a baby is amazing... but I no longer have a life to call my own :spining_stars: Because I haven't been here, I can't tell who also hasn't been here... any suggestions?
  10. Nope
  11. Nope!
  12. No need for embarrassment Natalie... just glad to see you safe and sound :)
  13. Hi Natalie, good to see you again, and so glad to see you quitting! Good for you :)
  14. My 3rd smoke free Christmas, and 1st with my new family :)

  15. Merry Christmas everyone!
  16. Glad everyone is OK Joe! Obviously I do not have any idea how things work overt here, but can't you just take the insurance money and put that towards the Jeep repairs, or would that leave you too much out of pocket?
  17. I hope you have a Happy smoke free Christmas!
  18. All sounding very organised people :good: I am at work at the moment, but I suppose I can't complain as I have been off for the last 3 weeks or so... finish again on Thursday, but earlier than usual. Back to work between 29-31 December (boo), and then back again on 4th January. Do have the 2nd week of January off though :) All presents bought, wrapped and under the tree. Most food already ordered from M&S, but going to be picking up a few bits from Sainsbury's tonight (shouldn't cost anything as we saved out Nectar points for the year!). My Dad (still smoke free, nearly a month now!) and Step-mum and Sister coming Christmas Eve. After they have left, we will continue our usual tradition of watching Die Hard on Christmas eve (I think this will be 10th year in a row!). Sister, Brother and Sister-in-law (still smoke free, nearly a year now!) coming to us on Christmas Day. Going to see Tasha's Mum and her family on Boxing Day, and Tasha's Dad is visiting us the following day. Monday we will have to ourselves. My mum and Step-dad will be visiting from Turkey during the second week of Jan, hence the week off work :good: I think it's going to be a very different Christmas with Arabelle here, but we couldn't be happier or feel more festive at the moment :) Good times :good: Merry Christmas everyone!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
