  1. OK, I'm screwed, lol
  2. Kristin, I've been where your husband is right now, and it sucks. He's probably really embarrassed and ashamed right now... Anyway, if that what's he's decided to do, then there's it much you can do about it except carry on doing what you are doing! The only quit you have the power to control is your own, so just try to focus on that. And if you don't want to buy it for him, then don't - I certainly wouldn't! Let him fuel his own addiction without you getting involved (and if he can't, that's his problem) I'm sorry this has happened, but please hold on to your quit! I think a word with your dad too - no offering cigars to ex-smokers at thanksgiving!
  3. Hello again :) Enjoy your popcorn, I think that you are going to fit right in here :)
  4. Nice tower you and congratulations on your decision to quit! You have chosen a great time to quit - I'm sure that being unemployed and spending a fortune on cigarettes do not go well together! You have certainly come to the right place, and we will do everything in our power to help you stay quit! Hope to get to know you better and watch your quit grow - you just need to protect it at the moment :)
  5. Hello, nice to meet you! And congratulations on your quit! You really sound like you know a lot already, so you will be off to a flying start here; you already know that there is absolutely no such thing as 'just one'. And I don't believe that there is a WORST time to quit! Quitting smoking may be one of the biggest decisions you ever make on your whole life, and you will never regret it as long as you live :) Sorry to hear that you have a bad cough, but smoking will only make that worse now - you need to just let your lungs try to repair themselves, which they will. Quitting smoking has completely transformed my life for the better and I am thankful everyday for my newfound freedom :) Hope to hear more from you soon - post as often as you like :)
  6. Real, real, real, real! In fact we are going to choose one tomorrow, and we might get one for the garden, too (still undecided on that) :)
  7. Thank you both - Evelyn, if you can at least read this - we are thinking of you and look forward to seeing you real soon :)
  8. The way you feel right could last forever Jess - positive thinking and all that :) But try to remember how happy you feel right now, knowing that you are FREE - and it was all you that achieved it :d I am so super proud of you :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
