  1. Ohhhh I like this one Nancy ;)
  2. The smoke used to make my wife sick. I didn't care. Well ok, I DID care, but not enough to quit :(
  3. Ok 57 seconds, but I almost passed out lol
  4. Impressive ;) I'm gonna go try it out, but even 45 seconds sounds out of reach for me. Brb
  5. I think I've done the 'test' before too. Had a nice little quit going of a few months. Went to a New Year's Eve party and a friend was smoking - surely I can have just 1? It will prove that I am over cigarettes... Bought a pack New Year's Day and said they would be for 'emergencies' only. Started with 1 a day. Within a few weeks back to it full time :( Thanks for posting this Sharon, it will be very helpful to a lot if people - education is so important - there is no such thing as one!!!
  6. Very good Aine. Do we have a list of everyone's birthdays somewhere?
  7. Eeek, hate that smell now lol !!!
  8. Yes, we are waiting to welcome you with open arms! Give it a try - it could save your life.
  9. No more excuses :)
  10. Doreen this made me cry!! Congratulations. That is one lucky kitty (saying that while my own rescue is sitting on my lap and has given me a dead leg lol) We want pictures! I'm not even going to go into what kind if human being could do that to a poor defenceless kitty...
  11. OK 6.30 is a little early! Plonka lol reminds me of only fools ;) If love to see that play list once it's finalised :) Glad you are feeling better!
  12. Soozie, will you be going to bed soon? Tomorrow will be better I promise.
  13. ((((Soozie)))) Tomorrow will be better
  14. You didn't smoke Soozie, so you did do brilliantly. Sometimes you can't help how you feel, you can only help what you do.
  15. Sue, so glad you posted this and that you didn't smoke! The fact that you recognised it was junkie thinking is really great - once we can recognise that we have a decision to make. Obey or tell it to shut up. You made the right choice! About you leaving and not being missed - are you crazy?! I bet there would be a thread about you asking where you were pretty sharpish! And I'm glad you were not afraid to post - feels great to be safe here. Oh and you used the word prattling, so know I have to find a way to use that today too. What a gear word! (((((Soozie)))))

I haven't run out yet, and I've given a lot! Sometimes on other sites I run out and I get sad. Not here :)
  17. Wow Beacon 7 months - so proud of you and happy to call you a friend! You really are rocking this quit and it looks good on you. You deserve it. Say congratulations to your human as well ;)
  18. Yay congrats!!!!
  19. Nope no smoking today (Up the reds) for Doreen ;)
  20. Leanna lol, very clever. All this time I thought it was Anna something... Really good to see you, and you don't have to 'lay low' if you don't want to :)
  21. I did go to a supermarket in Portugal once and there were people smoking and they had ashtrays at the end of each isle - I couldn't believe it. I do remember being able to smoke in restaurants - I mean that really is bad isn't it, while the person next to you was trying to eat and everyone is lighting up around the table :( And my old office used to have a smoking room - it was disgusting! Also went to Saudi Arabia fairly recently and there is still smoking inside the work offices!! Good point about the 'dying breed' Soozie. Very Apt ;)
  22. Was it here earlier and now it's vanished? Or you need to get a new one? If it's disappeared then I will try to help you find it ;) If you need a new one I heard that Tracey is an expert (lol), or Nancy or Colleen or MQ
  23. I never flew on a plane that allowed smoking - must have already been banned. But it does make you wonder, they build a brand new plane, and it STILL has ashtrays and no-smoking signs lol

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
