  1. Thanks Rowley :) Congrats to you too. And happy birthday for a few days ago :)
  2. Congrats Craig. I hope you are doing OK.
  3. Hi Trish, I have been lucky ; I have not had to really deal with anything like this. But all you have to do is look down at your ticker - '10 days since I stopped making excuses'. You will not make any excuses this time. You will not smoke. I believe in you.
  4. I don't know anything about patches Evelyn, but as long as you are not smoking I am happy :) I am sure you will come off them (or step down whatever that means) when you are ready. There is no rush.
  5. Thank you Sharon. And yes, she was exhausted most of the time, constant naps and all of that jazz. She had a weekly session with someone via telephone for a number of months. She said it really helped her. I used to tease her saying that the guy was chatting her up lol.
  6. OK, I think we have a forever quit right here :)
  7. LOL. I never knew that you don't use fortnight. I don't know how you guys organise anything without that word - use it all the time lol
  8. I think Reporting would suit me. That way I cover a whole range of things. When do I start boss?
  9. Stay close to the board Juan - you are doing great! PS how was your pizza last night?!
  10. Sharon, we saw it at the cinema. I roared and cried at the part in the cafe... you know the part lol
  11. Preoud of you for resiting Evelyn.
  12. Still liking all of your coments, but being strong and resisting. I have to get thought this ;)
  13. Hey Sharon. I get that empty feeling sometimes, but generally I am OK. My wife gets it quite a lot and I used to think that it was my fault. She had some counselling and got better (hint it wasn't because of me lol). She still gets it occasionally but not so often now. I don't know if any of that is helpful or not, bit I just wanted to say that I sort of know what you are going through. So (((big hugs))) for you today.
  14. Hmmmm... I want to like all of your comments. My name is Ross and I am a like-aholic
  15. There is just too much great content here!
  16. I did not think it possible, but I am out if like - I reached my 'quota' !! Has this happened to anyone else, or am I the first to wear out the like button?! I will have to be more restrained in the future lol EDIT either that of there is a Like Thief somewhere
  17. Really well done - look at your ticker... you already saved an hour and a half of your life by not smoking! How are you feeling right now?
  18. Well done Amy, good for you. If you feel like you need to scream at someone, you can scream at us. but it sounds like you are doing well so far. Also, agree with Nancy, I think you should post this on the main discussion board.
  19. It has been SO long since I read them... I remember Elena, Clay, Jeremy... Paige. The vampire, I can't rememer her name - Eve? (maybe that was someone else) and the psychic someone Vegas? Oh, now I have to read them again! Love the second book (stolen?) that was my fave ;)
  20. Even I don't think about them very often anymore. Sometimes, but not often. But I can never see myself being a smoker again - being a non-smoker is so much more fun ;)
  21. No way on the Kelly Armstrong!! Boy do I love those books!!!!! And I never met anyone else who read them except my mum :( Since quitting my wife and I make a point to go out for a meal every weekend. And I paid for my fishing permit (boy was that expensive).
  22. LOL. Maybe your son can help you post a picture? Besides we all still need to see a picture of you - mane both of you together?! If she looks like Bobbie then she must be pretty adorable ;) Any more updates? Still looking like the weekend?
  23. Yay Petra!! Way to go super-mom :) Really happy for you!
  24. Happy Birthday!!
  25. Made Handlebar moustache

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
