  1. Hey Tracey I always remember when someone said your quit > life...at first I did not understand. Now I understand perfectly. I cannot let anything in life affect my quit. And I cannot use anything that happens to me as an excuse. I am the boss of my quit :)
  2. By the way, what the heck is a nook?! In my house it has nothing to do with reading rofl ;)
  3. I'm old school Babs. I have hundreds (literally) of books. I love them. I live the smell, the weight, the page turning, the artwork... I have a kindle fire too, but I hardly ever use it for reading - but it is handy to read in the dark ;)
  4. Hey Juan, you get as emotional as you need buddy. What's getting emotional for a while compared to never smoking again? Sounds like a pretty good deal to me ;)
  5. And we are all completely normal, right Tracey? Lol Come on guests, we would love to meet you all. What have you got to loose?!
  6. Marti, it's almost like the roles are reversed. Your mum is like the kid smoking behind her parents backs... How would your mum have dealt with that? That probably doesn't help at all, sorry :/
  7. Knew it. I'll be down there with Sue in a bit ;)
  8. I think I might have to check out that basement - I have a feeling he has pimped it out and isn't telling anyone ;) And to answer the question - I thought you couldn't be an egg if you have a dangler?! (According to Bakon) Thank you George!
  9. I assume we are adding what we can up with in chat to the list for people to vote? Muggle (0-6 months) Apprentice (6-12 months) Wizard (1 year plus) :)
  10. What an excellent idea :)

    Where?

Ok mine is obviously on my sleeve ;)
  14. Here you go Sharon - now you have 2 celebrations ;) So happy for you my friend :)
  15. I am glad that you are anticipating the potential pitfalls that may happen when you stop the patch. My main problem with smoking was boredom - I could chain smoke because I was bored. So I had to occupy my mind with something else. Coming here to talk to people about my addiction. That is what helped me the most. Sorry I cannot help with the OCD angle, but I am here for you regardless. (((Evelyn)))

  19. Tommy, my quit date buddy, you haven't smoked for 6 whole months. You have helped me through just by brain there and being strong. And you are a cat :) Congratulations my friend!!!

Evelyn that was a really nice post. It is people like you that keeps all the old timers coming back. You are just so adorable it's impossible to not want to help you :) I know you will be able to do this (you are doing it already). And when you stop the patches - we will be here for you. I'm glad that you know that :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
