  1. Feeling better today guys. Thanks to all of you - you really helped get my mind straight :)
  2. Happy Birthday!!
  3. Hi Laura, welcome and congratulations!!! Really great to have you here :)
  4. Yes, 3 great people quit all on the same day. Remember to look out for each other because you are quit date buddies :)
  5. Yay Anna, congrats on beating Hell Week :) Now go treat yourself to something nice :)
  6. As Marti said, like a boss :) You are doing great! Congratulations
  7. Amy :( You said yesterday that tomorrow was your new quit date. So that means that today is your new quit date. No more cigarettes. This time you know you can do it because you did so well last time. We will help in anyway that we can, but without an SOS there isn't much we can do... Next time promise to post one :) Let's beat this thing together
  8. Really happy for you Sarah!! You are doing really well and we are all proud of you. Just remember that a shopping spree with £50 is better than no shopping spree at all ;)
  9. You've got to stick to NOPE Evelyn. Sometimes it's the only thing you have... Can you print out some of the material from the board and take it with you to read if you need it?!
  10. Junk food NOM NOM NOM..!
  11. action

    13 Again lol
  12. So Rachael, I'm staying up until we hear from you. And it's been a long day too but I don't care.
  13. OK Jackie then that film comes highly recommended from me :) Not sure how it holds up now I'm older... Might go watch it in a minute to find out lol
  14. I already thought I had done this. Will do it from now on
  15. Yes Bug we all got together really well (special thanks to Nancy for brining to my attention). Now I am checking it constantly for Rachael...!
  16. Rachael, I think I can hear Nancy tightening the strings on her tennis racket... Better checkin and let us know you are OK.
  17. Now go punch a DB in the nose and make him bleed. But do not smoke
  18. Rachael if you won't listen to me, you have to listen to your self. Here is your own response to yourself in just such a situation: Rachael, you know you don't really want a cigarette and you know it won't fix sh**...so suck it up and deal with it. oh and P.S. if you need to punch someone in the face because they are being a DB... then do it you'll feel tons better than if you had smoked and you can make someone's nose bleed!
  19. Rachael, your six month anniversary is right around the corner. I know just how excited and proud of yourself you are about that... Now you absolutely will not let these people be the reason for you to smoke. You will not let them beat you. You are far stronger than that. There is no such thing as 'just one' and you know it... Please do not let that thought into your brain...
  20. Every single thing listed there sounds better than a cigarette! Love twizzlers!!
  21. OK so I'm back from the dentist.... so, I have a new dentist. And it is a woman. Please can someone explain to me how it has taken until now for me to have my first female dentist? All I can say is that I wasn't thinking about my teeth too much. And I am not dreading my next visit like usual lol Also she was a better dentist than the last guy too ;) Oh, and I still have all my teeth :d So I am in a better mood after that!! :)
  22. LOL I read that whole thing with a smile because I can just imagine you standing there saying it! I just love reading your stuff!
  23. Aww Doreen, bless your heart! I'm so glad she is recovering well. I know it is a big operation for the poor girl. Lots of treats for her when she gets home - hint - lots of Tuna lol (it's the only thing Bobbie would eat for a few days after a similar op).
  24. Hi again Anna, good to chat earlier ;) You already got a quit fare buddy, that is great! Look forward to getting to know you better in the coming months. Congratulations and welcome to the family!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
