  1. I only had one because my doctor ordered me to have one as I had been coughing for more than 8 weeks... otherwise, I would not have had one. Of course, this type of thing is covered by the NHS, so we don't have to 'pay' for it (sort of).
  2. Sorry to hear this Jimmy :(
  3. Lol, that's what I was going to ask!
  4. Now you have me confused... If you are wearing that vest... How can they preform the X-ray?!
  5. Well done Stu - never doubted it for a second! Hope you enjoyed your golf at the weekend, and you do something nice to celebrate. Please pass my congratulations onto El Bandita, too :)
  6. Nope :)
  7. The Walking Dead... It's a TV show, and it's great (if you like that kind of thing)
  8. Lol... What's an x-Ray vest? I think I just stood in front of a machine?
  9. I had one after I quit, because I had a cough for about 10 weeks - I posted about it here. I'd never had one before so didn't know what to expect... I took off my top, and had the x-ray... She told me to go ahead and put my top back on, which I did... I was about to leave the X-ray theatre, when she called me back and asked me if I could take my top off again to have another one so she could check something - my heart nearly stopped, lol. Turns out she just chopped a bit off the top or something, and needed to do it again (silly mare) - I wish she had just bloody said that in the first place! (maybe she just wanted another look at my hot bod, who knows ROFL) ;) But yeah, was pretty terrifying, but so worth it for peace if mind! I would totally get it done once a year, just in case.
  10. Haha @ 11 Chrispy, I hear ya! Much better skin More confidence No longer feel ashamed Less stress More money Kept the promise to Tasha No longer get a singed moustache Don't burn holes in my best clothes Better sleep More energy I could probably list 1000 more... :)
  11. Hey Doreen... At least we don't support Man Utd LOL LOL LOL
  12. This is such a great answer! I think I might put that in my signature - I want to live!
  13. We all know that mine is to get pregnant... That hadn't happened yet, but there have been SO MANY other great life changing improvements that make me so glad that I quit! Plus, I met all of you wonderful people - my second family :)
  14. I thought it was a nerdgasm - what's the difference?
  15. ... I thought we were pretty good for half an hour... I hope bad boy does the business! Was still hard to watch :(
  16. We had the opportunity to go and see the double-bill of the first and second one on Sunday... But we decided just to watch the second one. Wish we had watched them both, because I forgot quit how amazing Sin City is at the cinema!!
  17. ... has anyone else seen this yet? 2 things in this movie have really jumped out at me. First and foremost is that Eva Green is naked for almost the entirety of the movie... (and yes, it was in 3D!) The second thing is that... almost every single character in the whole movie was smoking, constantly. I suppose the average life expectancy in Basin City is so low, that they don't even consider the health risks associated to it, lol. Funny thing is, not once did I even think about having one myself, so that is a win :) Anyway, it was a great film, and recommended to anyone who loved the first :)
  18. Of course... the greatest of all cartoons...
  19. I have no idea why I even remember this one.... but I do, lol
  20. I could do this all day, lol

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
