  1. Thanks everyone! Yep, this is it. It has to be. No more excuses. Also, funny you should say this, Your right! I often watch those "Drugs, INC" shows, and the only difference is that nicotine is legal. That's it. Imagine if it wasn't...... I feel like a heroin addict myself. (Not from experience, but just comparing myself to people on those shows). Thanks again for all the welcomes!
  2. Hello All! My name is Jay, and I'm 33 years old. I've been smoking since i was ten years old. Heavily since i was 16. I've been back and forth with quitting a countless number of times. I have failed each and every time with every quit. Over the years, I have also used smokeless tobacco, e cigs, tobacco "pills", chew, plugs, pretty much anything under the sun to stop smoking, yet continue the addiction. Anyway, this time around is my last time. I am really glad that I found this site, its great to know there are communities out here where people can come together and help each other get and stay quit. I know I'll need the help! This Thursday is my D-Day. Smoking/dipping has nothing to offer me other than inconvenience, hindrance, and a short life possibly ending in a hospital bed. I will be using patches, because I made it the longest while using patches, and only failed because i thought it would be ok to "Just buy one pack..." since i had made it three weeks without one. So, thank you all for having me! And thanks in advance for listening to me complain for the next few weeks. :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
